Didn't think another oppo fan would be vying for the king of the cockwombles crown apart from the ever present crisp munching pencil dick that is AKCJ. Wow. Just wow.

One amusing side effect to this ticketing fiasco is that a lot of the Wendies who picked a random HU address to book seats in 501 earlier in the week may have just donated free tickets to random people in Hull.

Get everyone to check their mailboxes, there may be a few golden tickets out there.

    Oh? How come?

I thought ticketmaster were claiming to act on behalf of someone else (Wembley/City). If it is Wembley clearing 501, then surely the falsely sold tickets can't get to anyone who didn't provide a correct address, all the current 501 tickets are void, so I was told.

    Only Ticketmaster sales are affected.

Those tickets were surely sold by the club directly, not Ticketmaster?

We are disappointed to learn that a small proportion of our supporters have been asked to move their Play-Off Final seats by Ticketmaster in the past 24 hours.

The Club has been informed that this is down to an error in the way that Ticketmaster released our seats to supporters which has in turn caused issues with segregation.

We will work tirelessly with Ticketmaster to ensure supporters get the experience they deserve on what we hope is going to be a memorable day at Wembley. If anyone does have issues please contact Ticketmaster Customer Services on 0333 321 3126 from 9am on Friday morning.

    It's a load of bollocks.

You know who did this on purpose just to come on our forums and laugh at everyone getting pissed off about having to move.

None of this makes sense. I don't see how tickets could be split up between the two clubs being Ticketmaster's fault. They didn't decide on the split of tickets. That must be down to Wembley or the FA.

I think, (note "think") that Ticketmaster sold tickets that should have been held back from sale until the full allocation had been used up. They would have had the tickets, but should not have sold them when they did. Sheffield Wednesday sold out of their allocation and then could use the spare sections in the West Side.

It was apparent that something had gone wrong, the seating maps changed with whole blocks listed as being sold out, then as Ticketmaster re allocated each seat the blocks opened up again. Single seats in the middle of rows suddenly seemed to be snapped up and then they became free again. At one point it looked like we had virtually sold out our allocation.

Posters have questioned why the club has not released sales figures, I doubt that they know exactly how many tickets they had actually sold via Ticketmaster.

Ticketmaster should have come clean straight away, instead they tried to cover up their mistake.

From a nice chap at the FL - they had to plan for every eventuality. One of those was Derby reaching the final. Derby would have taken a mammoth amount of fans compared to any other club so our tie got allocated the east side. The usual segregation was pushed further over to the west side to free up more seats for Derby. All the tickets were printed and we got them sent to us anyway. We (or ticketmaster) were under strict orders not to offer these seats for sale and only overflow in to these once all others had sold. We had a potential allocation of over 40000 but I don't know exactly how far over.

Ticketmaster released them all for sale.

A plan for every eventually...bar this one.

If they planned for it to be full of Derby, and had segregation in place to accommodate, and if, as they've announced, they're not giving more tickets to Wednesday, the only reason I can think for clearing the area, is to have a block to move any Wendies found in home stands to.

The segregation would have been in Wednesday's side but as Derby didn't qualify Wednesday were given the whole west side to sell then Ticketmaster went and sold our seats right next to theirs. The segregation was supposed to be move able to accommodate who had the higher demand but as ticketmaster ****ed up and hd to move everyone out of the blocks they weren't meant to sell, there was no time to reallocate any seats for Sheffield Wednesday to sell but Ticketmaster decided to move everyone anyway.

None of the theories make sense. You don't say to somebody "here's the tickets but don't sell them yet". The FA/Wembley would hold the tickets back and then allocate them as required.

Im pretty sure, from memory only, that when we played Brizzle both teams got an initial allocation and then then further tickets were released in relation to demand. I could be wrong but it definitely rings a bell that we got further tickets after initially selling out and there being a mass stampede for them.

Why the **** would they move Wednesday fans in our end, that shouldn't have tickets there in the first place, into another section?
If there is any, they should be turfed out!

It's exactly what happened, each team got 36,000 initially, the others were then allocated once demand from each team had been gauged. The same should have happened this time, though each team were given 39,000, they were told to leave certain blocks until the end to make sure they were required, Ticketmaster didn't do this, hence the mess we have now.
