I like Mane. Get him in get rid of Chadli. He floats about too much for me.

Wouldn't even pay £2.5m for him, he's an absolute liability. Got like 3 reds this season didn't he?

Ahh Palacios! What a player he was up until his poor younger brother was kidnapped and murdered, I certainly don't blame him for never being the same player again after that, must have been horrific, especially after paying the ransom.

His home debut was one of the best I've ever seen at the Lane, absolutely destroyed that Arsenal midfield.

    Meaning that he departed Southampton.

    It's not that difficult...

Reports are now saying Coric could be on his way for as little as £3m - although I'm going to guess that it's £3m + add-ons, because the only logical explanation for that fee is that we've got some dirt on Dinamo's owners (although it has to be said their owners are so dirty they look like a coal miner at the end of their shift)

Batshuayi latest: he's saying he'll leave OM, but only after the Euros - no doubt backed by his agent rubbing his hands together at the thought of a summer transfer auction

Embolo latest: after Basel's chairman stated they have not received any bid from Spurs, he's suddenly been linked to newly-promoted Red Bull Leipzig...which sounds more suspicious than Robert Mugabe being voted Miss Zimbabwe

Also, I had a thought regarding all our future transfer business: under no circumstances should we move for any of Jorge Mendes' clients. This is readily apparent given some of the grossly inflated fees for his clients, such as the £32m for Eliaquim Mangala, heft loan fees for Falcao, a suspicious number of players headed to Monaco when they had money (i.e. Rodriguez, Moutinho and Falcao), and somehow managing to get Man Utd to pay £7.5m for Bebe.

I don't know anything about this Coric chap, please elaborate...

The point about the Euros is sensible both for players and managers, albeit I've never felt that performance levels on the international stage are particularly reliable barometers of a player's actual ability in a particular league - cf. Veron, Rojo, Paulinho, Poborsky etc. As long as we sign players who have been on the radar for a while, not just off the back of 2 decent weeks in France, I'll be happy. But it definitely makes sense to wait for the tournament to end before swooping for a player. It would be ironic if Arsenal's shiny new £34m 'wonderkid' Mr Xzahakaka picked up a serious injury playing for the Swiss.

To put it simply, Coric is one of the top prospects in Europe whose style of play has drawn comparison with Modric, and that's in terms of their styles of play rather than just because they're both Croats who came through the ranks at Dinamo Zagreb.

At the very least he's spoken of by those in the know in the same breath as Kovacic and Halilovic, while there's some who go much further and compare he's as good as Boban, Modric and Prosinecki when they were his age. He's also made Croatia's preliminary squad for the Euros, so if he makes the final team - or, more importantly, actually gets some playing time in a team that has Modric, Halilovic, Kovacic, Badelj and Brozovic in it - that should give us a clear barometer.

If ever the was a time, in which a completely outrageous transfer rumour was to come true, I'd pray to all the footballing Gods that it'll be this one. Zlatan has been my favourite non-Spurs player for about 6-7 years now. Not only is he one of the best ever players to grace the beautiful game but he's also one of the most interesting and - in my opinion - comical characters out there. We've been crying out for an experienced head with a winning mentality and what better could you get than a man who's won 9 league titles in the past 10 or 11 years?!

I'm 26 years old and haven't bought a Spurs shirt for God knows how long now but I swear to you if Zlatan joins Spurs I'm getting his name on the back of the new shirt and queueing outside the Lane before kick off to get his autograph and a photo <laugh><laugh><laugh>

In all seriousness, I'm 99% sure he'll end up at Utd under Moanrinho but I'm going to cling onto that 1% and try to believe in a miracle.

On the subject of outrageous transfer rumours, how about this...

Mario Gotze has a year left on his contract, and has been publicly urged to leave this summer by Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, while a phone conversation with soon-to-be manager Carlo Ancelotti that was leaked to the press also stated his future lay elsewhere. There were rumours of him joining Liverpool for around £20m (although I wouldn't be surprised if some join-the-dot journalism was involved there) - although it is worth considering that the the £100k p/w he gets at Bayern may not be outside our wage structure per se, but we'd probably have to raise the wages of a few players in the squad if he did sign.

Exceptionally unlikely, obviously, especially as he'll most likely head to Juve - but an attacking trio of Gotze/Eriksen/Lamela would be something else, especially as Gotze has a laundry list of points to prove to Guardiola.

His wages would equal the entire squad put together but we'd recoup the expense in shirt sales alone. I would crawl naked through a piranha-infested tunnel of raw sewage while listening to Justin Bieber if it meant seeing Zlatan playing at the Lane.

He also said the Coutinho was too lightweight to be a success in England and was less than complimentary about Funes Mori, both of whom have been better suited to the league than Paulinho was

I heard this on H&J and Vickery admitted he wasn't great at spotting who would make it and who wouldn't. Also, there is the Pochettino factor. He transformed Harry Kane physically by getting him in the gym and he is now unrecognisable from pre-Pochettino days. If this guy has the raw talent and the desire to work extremely hard then he' be worth a punt but only as a third option to Kane and A N Other striker. We need someone ready to go from day one and a signing like this lad needs time to adapt. Plus, we need 3 strikers to cover for injuries and resting Harry Kane.

    UPDATE

We are willing to sell Danny Rose to Manchester Citeh for £15m according to The Mirror.

I'm gonna be the "mood hoover" and point out that Zlatan would disrupt the harmony amongst the squad. <whistle>

Why not say we're happy to swap our best players for magic beans? Now, Fazio is their player for HP Beans (not even Heinz!).
