I was going to shoehorn that in somewhere, Diame will start and most likely will want to impress, or at least you would hope so...

I added a bit more to that last post if you missed it.

Also I do wonder what he could be like if he had a full pre-season training and was fully recovered. He'll be on big wages so it's a big decision for next season. Bruce does sometimes play people who just aren't fully fit as he thinks they are in his best ideal team, and maybe they just cost the most too.

Please run through our squad player by player and let us know their faults and defects.

It's the least we can do.

    Not this **** again. <doh>

You obviously don't like formation and team selection threads, so don't go on them, leave them for people who do. Ta.

Hayden would be a great one for the future, couldn't agree more but why would he want to come back here if Bruce was the boss like you say. Am in a minority on this one too on here but I also think Akpom has a great future, but not with us most likely.

Just trying to point out the futility of the "My team would be.." brigade and save you all time and mental energy.

Give it up chaps, it's absolutely pointless.

I waste more mental energy reading the same thing from you all the time, in fact I think I've lost a day of my life reading your posts about 'experts'

Over all Diame has been poor this season mainly I think because he missed pre season and it catches up with you, sometimes with all the skill he has he seems to lack the heart but one thing is for sure if he is in the mood and I normally know that within the first 10 minutes of watching him then he is the one who as the ability to create or score something out of nothing. Lets hope he is on his game for this massive occasion because if he isn't then he's a passenger.

Yer man '66 is one of those who regularly criticises and moans even before a ball's been kicked - he's a ****, but he's not the worst on here. There's no pleasing our ''armchair'' managers (he's another **** anarl).

You're right, we don't deserve the PL.

Is there a league table for these armchair managers?

I like the look of your team, but as others have pointed out it is inevitable that Diame will play. Maybe if he is poor (again) we might see your team in the second half. Let's hope the change isn't necessary.

It's a huge call to play Hudd. They get round him like derby did and we could be one nil down within ten minutes. If that happens we're in **** street as we struggle coming from behind (oo err).
If they don't we'll be fine. But

I'd rather play meyler, it's going to be fast and frantic the first twenty minutes. We have to win that and dominate them from the off, push them back and it allows Diame to play further forward. If Hudd plays and sits back then Diame has to drop back to offer support.

Unbelievable really, the threads about our formation, i.e. tactical- you and City Man are something else. How do you discuss tactics in any other way?

For me it boils down to Huddlestone or Diame in an ideal world, but Bruce will not drop either of them. Just going to put my tinfoil hat on as I recline into my armchair....

The best tactic is to imagine we've already won the first leg 3-0 and then invite constant pressure thus fooling Wednesday into thinking they're better than us.

    Optional extras:

    1. Instruct Elmo to blatantly dive and hope for a pen
    2. Ask Diamé not to pass to any players in a better position - it will look better if we score a worldy to go up
    3. Get Huddlestone to conserve his energy more, the odd swish from 40 yards should suffice to worry them
    4. If we score an early goal by accident, bring on Bruce Jnr & Meyer after 25 minutes to shore up the 1-0
    5. Leave Hernandez all on his tod, he's good enough to feed off scraps isn't he, he's got 20 goals already so he doesn't need any more or someone will buy him off us
    6. Bruce should scratch his head a lot and consult with Phelan but actually not change anything until 85 mins
    7. The fans should keep quiet, save your voices until we've won
    8. Give Dawson MOM already - it will be a resolute defensive display
    9. Don't select Hayden or Clucas - they make the mistake of being too inexperienced and they pass forwards..
    10. Get pissed and pray..

I personally have no problem with people wanting to discuss tactics, those criticising, moaning and pissing before a ball has even been kicked are ****s, if you want to defend that type ......... feel free.
