The good thing is if this happens, one very important thing is assured. We will have a squad of players here next season and in the future who want to be here. He is massive on the team aspect and he won't keep anyone who doesn't want to be here. He requires 100% commitment. So we won't have any ****ers like Sissoko of early season, or HBA types. They'll either fall in line or they will get the boot. And unlike previous managers, our fans actually like Benitez and respect him, so they will back his judgement.
This is massive. The best signing for years, on a par with Sir Bobby and KK. Our club has been crying out for someone of Rafa's status for years. We have lift-off!

I heard a snippet of Matt le Tissier speaking on Talk Sport earlier today. He said that Southampton have had seven consecutive seasons where they have bettered their league finish from the previous season. It isn't rocket science how they've done it....they've managed to get the right people in the right positions, both on and off the field. This is why I feel Rafa staying is so vital....the right man in the right position. A great starting point. An exciting summer of comings and goings awaits us.
