How many tickets did we sell against Bristol City in the final? I seem to remember both clubs applying for an extra 4000 each but don't recall the total amounts given.
Looking on their board, it's like the precursor to the Adrian Mole books. They're getting giddy about balloons and face paint. There's going to be tears when they find out they've travelled to a whole new land, and there's no jelly at the party. It looks like being the tackiest final ever. Sadly, the tv fans will probably love it.
Ah ok thanks, so we where initially allocated less but the extra 4000 took us to the same figure then (which I presume is the maximum one club is allowed)
Indeed, I think they allocated each club 36,000, leaving them 8,000 to play with once they'd seen the demand. I suspect they might do that again next season.
I can see that some of their fans will be screeching their abuse at Roary and Amber, whilst bigging up their own Ozzie Owl or Captain Beaky before the kick off, and the game itself will be an afterthought. Hopefully Sheffield will be playing the occasion and not the match. Their faux 20K 'fans' seem to see it as some kind of 90s revival beach party. Commiserations to old EBRA sorts.
A Wendie supporting colleague at work confided proudly today that he's "in a white balloon section". The nob.
Right. I retract an earlier comment about it's normal for fans to think they'll win. They're the biggest bunch of cockwombles I've ever had the misfortune to read the droolings from. Which when you consider some of our visitors in the past, is quite a feat. They're even struggling to register on *our* site (ffs) to troll us. The CMF must be sobbing into their pints of mild knowing football, and clubs like them, has come to this. Lets be aving it, lets go troll some people online on a forum, show em how aaaard we are, oi oi oi! I hope we smash them on Saturday, ****s.
Ok I may be missing the point a wee bit, but why can`t they dress up, its an occasion to be proud of and enjoy, ok we have got a bit blase about it due to having been there twice in the last two years, bit its still an occasion. Good luck to them for making it a day out, lighten up people, whether they dress as a fkn blue and white owl and attend the game makes no difference to how the game will pan out.
Please God we piss on them from the highest of all heights. The thought of going on their site to gloat is beyond description
Deer dyary, On satday we off abroad to lundon. Us've got balloons an crayons an stuff. Uncul dad sais I can bownce reet good. I fink we's off to watch a man in an owl suit, and another dresd like a kat. I fink we get to kick a futball anarl. Trevor, age 44.
Ballons, face paint and a ****ing marching band?! And I thought Palace and Leicester fans were plastic
sherlyegg Well a to give real facts for the blunties to digest...We sold our 39,000 in 2hrs in real time. The 12,000 corporate seats are mostly wednesdayites ( I know a security guard at wembley; he says about 10,500 of em are wednesdayites). Also Hull have just sent us 6,000 they couldn't sell. Then all the 5000 tout tickets will almost certain go to wednesdayites..If you include Sky Sports presenters another 10..... So in total 55,510 (this is a conservative estimate because ball boys are not included) MASSIVE, biggest support ever seen at Wembley for a single league team http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic/241187-so-how-many-are-we-taking/ Look, you think ****, security guards know **** all about who sold what tickets. Club Wembley only keep a limited amount of seats for their members (as it's not a core event), so around a third are sold by each club and a third are retained by Club Wembley to sell to their lovely members (like me). The Club Wembley seats given to Wednesday are already included in the 39,000 original allocation. We have returned no tickets, nor is there any chance of us doing so (we've sold tickets in all blocks and they can't now be segregated). Your lot managed to get 100 or so tickets before things were tightened up yesterday and no doubt some of the extra Club Wembley allocation will have come your way, so you will have probably have around 42-43,000. There will be quite a lot of empty seats at the City end on Saturday and normally I'd have some sympathy with oppo fans in this situation, but as you've been acting like a bunch of ****ing arseholes all week, I've got none. I can't be arsed to check what other teams had at each game, but Man City definitely had more against Wigan than you'll have on Saturday.
I'm not usually one to get involved in inter-forum rivalry but surely that isn't the main/only Wendy fan forum? It seems populated by fourteen-year olds unable to construct a single cogent argument. Makes me appreciate the cynical old guff that people post here - even our WUMs are a class above that lot.
