Frimpong looks good, he could be 'like a new signing'
    ;)

No he doesn't, he looks like a sad Mr T wannabe.
    Playing okay though.

Gervinho looks good again, Wilshere is doing well, RvP of course leading from the front.
But Boca don't seem at the races, to be fair.

ye, Arsenal are playing well, but look fragile at the back, especially with the offside trap, as Boca have gotten through a few times now. Also, our defending from set pieces is, although improved, not good enough. it is zonal, but the players don't attack the ball enough, as they move towards it but can't generate enough height in their jumps to get to teh ball ahead of the attackers that run in. build up play is slow, but the goal was scored via a counter attack and we look particularly dangerous in this area (like previous arsenal sides e.g. invincibles). one problem is no one is attacking jenkinson's excellent crosses into the box, while on the other side, traore is trying to dribble his way past midfielders and defenders and nto getting far. luckily frimpong looks able to cover well.

fantastic by vela, and great strike from ramsey. are we likely to see vela breaking into the side this season? or just more competition for places

Vela has played alot from the right in pre-season, and with Walcotts injury issues and Nasris future uncertain, then yes I think Vela will get games. Considering we only have Chamakh and RvP for the lone striker role (assuming Bendtner leaves) Vela, Gervinho and Walcott will presumably all be considered for that role at times.

Boca are animals. Still, good practise for when we meet similar classless teams like Stoke & Spuds later in the season :)

    Blame the goalie, not Djourou

    Same old story.

    BUT...

    Mannone is our 3rd choice.
Squillachi is 4th choice at best.
Djourou is 3rd choice at best.
We are alledgedly after at least one more CB.

This second half is hopefully not representative of the defence we will see during the season.

    And it is only pre-season...

I'm not even sure how these mistakes happen sometimes. Unbelievable, can't even win our own cup!

Did anyone notice Squillaci's name being booed when he was announced at the start of the second half? What was the point in that?

I hope Afobe gets a chance ahead of Chamakh tomorrow. Chamakh offers very little.

Everyone likes to have a boogeyman to hate.

I got 2; Ensil & Colonel Gadfly on the Spuds board (did you know it was physically possible for just 2 blokes (?) to create a daisy chain?) :)

Just a message to Wenger and the board, I guess. We want a new centre back or two!

It's not exactly going to make him play well though is it?

Football fans (any team) are no better than wild pack animals. Common sense goes out of the window once the first whistle blows....
