    Hornette,

Glad you had a great night at the awards, I was really sorry I missed Stuart Scullion inducted into the hall of fame, he was one of my all time favourite players. Nobody could beat a player three times then fall over like him!!

Maybe I'll save up for next year's bash. I normally get caught for four tickets so it's quite an expensive night out.

Thanks Super, yes it was quite a night with SS too. To be honest, with the free wine it actually worked out a bit cheaper than Shendish this year for us, though we do get through a few glasses! But 4 tickets is a lot so i understand. Hopefully you'll make it next year though :)

By coincidence I sat next to an old sage on a flight back from Palma to Luton last week. He was a Watford supporter from a kid but was later heavily involved with Chesham United. He reeled off some of the well known players that had played for Chesham but he said one of his favourite player was Stewart Scullion, I had no idea he played for them as well.

I briefly dated a woman who claimed to be secretary of Chesham United and the sister of Arthur Brown of Fire fame. She might just have been a good story-teller though!

I saw The Crazy World of Arthur Brown live at The Pavilion in 'emel in the early 70's - was very strange!

Much preferred The Freddie Mack Soul Show at the Pav in late 60's/early 70's. Also saw Cream there. I used to have an uncle that worked on the door so often sneaked in for free.

    Venue sorely missed today.

Evening all from North Africa. Wi-Fi a bit intermittent here but otherwise having marvellous time. Predominantly a watching brief for now.

I wonder whether people will be going to hear Kanye West in 50 years time. Somehow I doubt it.

Who said anything about music? I was referring to Kanye West.

There has been bad music right through the ages even in the 60s! But at least it was music.

................And......... we thought moog synthesisers were :emoticon-0103-cool: Little did we realise it was the death knell for music played with instruments....
