Is he prone to fur balls though?

 

for me very under rated, when he had a good run in the team was when Liverpool were playing well and winning, very tidy on the ball, no fuss, good passer and good motor. Very much like Claise, does the easy things well and keep the team ticking, not ideal playing 2 shortarses in the middle park though, which is probably why we never continued trying to sign Kante

 

I've never seen his balls and if you were a half respectable young lady I would hope you haven't either!

 

Just had a look at the Liverpool squad, they have 49 players with squad numbers- insane. Even with 20 being youth, a squad of 30 with no euro football is huge and I'm pretty sure they will look to bring in at least 4 key players this summer, big in house cleaning to be done

 

As a proud Welshman and Welsh football supporter, I can confirm that Joe Allen is criminally under rated. Makes Wales tick and uses the ball fantastically. He's basically be in the same roll as Classie though rather than being a Davis upgrade. I'd probably prefer a more attacking midfielder.

 

Martial struggling is singularly the maddest thing I've read thus far on this forum.

I thought United were mad to pay so much for him, but he has done well in one of the toughest leagues.

 

I was not saying he was struggling as he is a poor player, I was saying he was struggling to find his role in a system that did not suit his style. He is a special talent, but when you have manager that plays midfielders as fullbacks, or as cbs or as strikers what can you expect? With their attack to only score 49 league goals is pretty bad, we outscored them by 10! This is why the initial comment of him struggling with a system that did not suit him, or any of his fellow forwards

 

The last few times I've watched Allen he has impressed me, definitely improved under Klopp

 

Look at Liverpool's win % with and without Allen. Anybody saying he isn't underrated is misinformed

 

Not sure that is subjective.

need to understand number of games, minutes on pitch, opposition, what the form was like during each period.

If he was so good he would be playing far more regularly for a side that finished below us.

I'm not saying he is poor, but no upgrade on anything we currently have. I would suggest Steve Davis is better and more effective in our general link up play.

 

One player can't win you a game. Unless they are a type of player that scores or set up loads. Allen isn't a Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez etc etc. So simply going " he has a good win percentage" doesn't mean a thing.

So the points are basically the same. But Liverpool won more without him. Which suggests it's more about the team then one player.

 

Good luck to him. May have found things difficult with the language and culture so time for him to move on after his career literally stalled. Mind you as he is froom Andulucia, he will have to get use to the gastronomic capital of Spain. Some even say Europe!!

 

Agree with that but only because I rate Davis as an absolute class act. Allen would play deeper and is probably an upgrade on Clasie

 

You could be right about Clasie but I'm not sure you are, I think he will kick on next year.

I'd also feel dirty and cheap taking a player from Liverpool...

 

Not sure; it was only clasie's first season in prem and he is 2 years younger than allen -

 

Hide that last line from FLT for goodness sake.

 

I'd love Clasie to kick on and prove me wrong. Thought he did a great job on Ozil at home to Arsenal but not seen much evidence of the range of passing that we bought him for

 

Joe Allen is ****e. Would hate it if we signed him. Can tell a lot by what Liverpool fans think of him, those that I know all think he shouldn't even be on the bench.
