He's a very decent player. I'm sure this guy scored a hat-trick for Poland not to long ago. Pacy, direct winger who looks to cut inside and would get a lot of assists. Brilliant signing, if we could get him.

    Very happy about this.

Yeah, in the last minute when we were chasing the game. Prick <laugh>

In all seriousness, mate. I remember noticing Grosicki, last year. Him and Lewandowski are definitely the main players, for Poland, from what I've seen of them. I thought then he looked a very good player and I went to check on his club form, which is when I realised he was at Rennes. Not really sure how he performs at club level though, just international.

We'll get a good look at him in the Euro's, anyway.

They're a good side, attacking-wise SR, Ousamane Dembele being the obvious star of the show. They've worked well a lot this season though, Grosicki right side of a forward four, Gourcuff left side and Dembele central, behind whoever the striker is some African fellas.

It's always hard to tell how they'd fit in here. Like I said about Kone, he never really stood out in L1 as a gifted centre half, but he had all the attributes you needed to slot effortlessly into your back four, it's how he's gonna be managed that will determine his success.

He's creative, good feet, quick... so is Ben Arfa... you know what I'm saying.

No, he's a right sided mf who uses his right foot, a rare breed nowadays!

Another you tube super star to get us excited. Impressed with his first touch and taking the ball at pace, suppose we need to strike before Euros or risk not getting him

Touch and vision looks very good, look a little bit lightweight has to be said.

Some of his one touch stuff looks lovely and that makes me feel he'd be a great compliment to Khazri

Don't want to dampen anybody's enthusiasm, but yet another U Tube video where nobody actually tackles anyone, he won't get free ride in the premier, just saying like.

I understand your dampening of enthusiasm - but I watched some of the touches and had no idea where he was going with the ball - so I doubt the defenders trying to tackle him did either!

Would complement Khazri very well if his level of performance and workrate is like Khazri's

Is there anything concrete to this rumour before it ends up another Borini thread?

Why is it that Sunderland never ever seem to get in early and get deals done. We see it year after year after year, loads of rumours, linked with this one, linked with that one but we always , without fail wait until the end of the window and buy rubbish, the one exception being this season in January where Sam made some decent signings.
Is it that we aren't street wise, a la Dodgy Harry , Cloughie in his day, and even our friends in the North seem to be able to move in and do deals quickly where we seem to drag them out and end up with the dross.
Is it solely a money thing? Or is it just a bad scouting system?
I thought when Reidy was here they he would sort things out then we ended up signing Andre Flow a last minute panic buy, then I had high hopes for Keane and O'Neil with all of their contacts but nothing changed.
Hopefully big Sam will sort a few things out along with this new bloke that's taken over from Margaret Byrne.

    It's the 25th of May <laugh>

Aren't these types of moans reserved for mid-July?

It was stated somewhere that Sam has identified targets for either if we went down or when we stayed up.
Said him and his scouts have been working hard and wants the signings in before end of july i think.
We can only hope it will be different this time with Sam.

I'll guarantee you this, with Sam Allardyce in charge you'll be still looking at players on the 31st of August, his business is never 'done'.

Maybe I'll put this in my 'wrongs' end of next season.
