If you have to resort to pedantry, you've obviously got no argument ;)

Playing style aside. It's now the sudden loss of Radford and Lingard who both looked good. I just believe utd took the easy choice with Jose, he is good, but thought you should have gone for Pochetino, Simeone etc.

And still didn't set a points record, wins record or goals record (for or against), pretty nothing achievement really.

Ah... so I have won then.... you ended up waffling about Rogers.. you might as well compared him to pulis.

At least compare him to Ranieri who brought the title home this year.

My view is despite all the bolloxology about him being a team man and inspiration mourinho how never created such a team spirit as seen in Leicester.

However...... the equally bollox stuff about mourinho not understanding millenials raised in academies and having no fighting them... well I don't buy that either.

Will players get behind him at Utd... Yes... will Utd compete.. yes.... is everything there to succeed.. no...

So this is actually his chance to prove he's not just a finisher but that he can build too.

    ...

Good job he's starting off pushing giggs out the door.

I could manage a Real Madrid or Barcelona side into scoring 100 goals a season.

"Right chaps, go out there and give the ball to Ronaldo/Messi around the 18 yard box and let them score. Top work <ok>"

In all seriousness, the bottom 15 teams in La Liga are poor defensively when it comes to playing the big boys, hence why you see them both win by 5/6/7 goals at least once a month!

Mourinho's first year at Chelsea they were impressive going forward with Duff and Robben either side of Drogba, but his style is being solid first and foremost. I don't have the stats, but taking out his Madrid stint, I'd imagine he's won more games 1-0 or 2-0 above any other scoreline. He gets the team infront and then sits back and asks teams to break them down which they can't and hit them on the counter as sucker punch.

Nothing wrong with that, but he's not an attacking coach.

    As I pointed out.

    90 points.

    The THEN record was 91?

Given your lot never did it I'd consider this attempt another epic fail.

See, I'd rather win ****all and be entertained than be bored to death and win the PL. I truly disliked the football under Houllier but obviously liked the trophy wins but give me the Suarez season over that every single time. I loved the Roy Evans period too.

Moyes, LVG, Mourinho... the trend continues! Only difference is, Mourinho usually brings success with the dullness.

I actually appreciate Fergie for the way he got teams to play whilst winning. He didn't defend first, his teams always had the "defence starts with attack" mentality

EDIT: I never failed to understand you guys wanting rid of LVG, I just don't agree that Mourinho is the right appointment considering that thought pattern.

Mourinho's their last throw of the dice before slipping into mid-table obscurity. They are one Maureen #meltdown from disaster <whistle>
