As mentioned previously Wembley staff are incredibly stringent. There was an Arsenal fan near me, thrown out after about 5 minutes when Davies scored. Only a young lad around 18/19 quiet as a mouse, stood up with our fans but not celebrating. Stewards obviously clocked him twice and had him out, must have paid over the moon for his ticket bless him. Serves him right the ****. There were Arsenal fans being thrown out left right and centre that day, I saw three get chucked out before I'd even got through the turnstile. Similar scenes with the bacon chops in the semi. I wouldn't worry about it, we've not sold out and the ones desperate enough to come in our end will likely be proper fans just desperate to be at the game and will sit quietly not making a scene and go totally unnoticed by us. Any trying to act the billy big bollocks will be lobbed out before they can blink. As we're not selling out I wouldn't begrudge any genuinely decent Wednesday fans sitting amongst us. They've a lot of bellends on that site but there'll be just as many if not more decent folks amongst their number, possibly like some of our expats who in the past have moved heaven and hell just to get to a game from the other side of the world.
The map was a bag of ****, it was obviously completely wrong. Sunday night there was loads of green blocks then Monday morning most blocks were red, omega mans pic Monday lunchtime showed most of them yellow again then by Monday night most were red but some had turned back green. **** knows what was up with it.
Fair comments but balls to that, reading owlstalk these last few days has left a bitter taste and I won't be tolerating any of the pigs near me.
There was loads dotted around near me & nothing happened, they only jumped up briefly for their 2nd & then longer for the winner!
My brother in law is a Mackem and sat next to me in east stand at KC when they put four past us. He didn't even smile when the goals went in. Conversely, circumstances meant me and the missus were in the home end at the Yeovil promotion game and couldn't help acting like rabid dogs when the penalty was given. Its almost impossible not to react in such a big game.
I bought my tickets online last Friday, but still not here, anyone else with similar? Getting a bit worried now!
I confess I enjoy reading BOWELSQUAWK a lot. Some rabid fantasists on there, who seem to believe their fanbase is 40K just because their long underperforming team have scraped over the line into this big game. Where have these extra 20k ****s been all season? Reading some of their insane stuff about having £170m to spend and changing their history forever is reminiscient of the cobblers we all believed in 2008 when it was £60m. How quickly that money goes and gets swallowed up by agents, players, extra backroom staff, ground improvements, improved floodlighting, new training ground etc. Always thought of their fans as solid feet on the ground wise old owl types, but some of the younger ones on there, are deluded as ****. I predict they will be pissed by St Pancras, and skint by Baker Street. Should they make it in, they will be hoarse by half four. They have overachieved getting this far and like Hull FC fans are just chuffed to be there at Wembley.
This is exactly it. Kids in Hull now are growing up wearing City shirts and not the Leeds, Man Utd, Liverpool shirts they once was. We need to get the younger generation involved more instead of charging them 21 quid a month (minimum)!!! At one of the best times in the clubs history the club is doing it's best to drive fans away. The fan base is there but the club / owners need to stop ******* off it's customers and until that happens the situation is only going to get worse.
I received mine yesterday when having booked them last Wednesday morning . I also got some more on friday afternoon which have still to arrive.
When we played the blunts it was the old bill who insisted on the A1/M1 thing - I seem to remember they were concerned about possible trouble at service stations
There's a Wednesday fan posted an image of tickets he reckons he's bought for our end. When the club posted they'd be cancelled, he said you only know it's entrance F, nothing more. I wonder when he'll realise there's his picture and other information about him, and probably his friends on his profile. Do they really let these people breed? Edit. To any wendies looking in, if there was a way round the system, it looks like this lad's just closed it for you. 2nd edit, this guy posted the picture, but it was another Wednesday fan that was talking to City about it. The guy that brought it to the club's attention, already had his ticket in the Wednesday end, so has probably cocked the job up for t'other fella. please log in to view this image
It is and it isn't. I've edited my original post. Someone sent me the ticket image, and a bit of the discussion with the club. It's on twitter and facebook so it's all public. A bit more digging, and the guy that posted the picture of the tickets, looked like he was just happy to be there. It was another Wednesday fan that already had official tickets that thought he was being smart showing the picture to City fans, who checked it out with the club. Him trying to be a smartarse has probably cost the first guy his seats and shut that door on anyone else doing the same. I'm sure they'll all be really impressed. Having his comments next to the other guy's profile and picture when trying to argue they can't be traced, does smack of the Dad's Army quote "don't tell him Pike"
So you think you should go by your own limited experience and don't take into account what anybody else says?
