There was a discussion on TalkSport tonight about who's got the best deal out of Man City, Man Utd and Liverpool on appointing Guardiola, Mourinho and Klopp respectively.

If say Man City and Liverpool got the best got the best man for the respective jobs.

Mourinho is a very good appointment for Man Utd too but think they should have been targeting Poch; young manager that builds a team (not just buys the eleven best individuals) and gives youth a chance. Guardiola or Klopp would have been better for them imo.

When Guardiola was at Barcelona he spent more money than any other manager in the world. I would hazard a guess he'll be buying in more players at City than Mourinho at United.

erm................. nahhhhhh.... who spent the money trebs? directors....

I wouldn't even need to hazard a guess... city will outspend everyone no question.... but utd will be comfortably 2nd.

Yeh well I doubt Jose was pulling the cash out of his pocket either. The point is, you can't quote Pep as a better manager on the basis Mourinho will bring in eleven players when Pep brought in countless players. The fact many were spanish masks this.

I dont doubt United will spend loads but Pep will too. So will Klopp given half the chance.

Don't worry I'll never call pep a better manager.

Mourinho negativity cost him hugely at real though. The only difference between sides was every el classics was mourinho negativity causing them to lose.

Guardiola's fanciful I don't need a striker ****e is where the issue lies for me.

Guardiola didn't bring (or get bought) eleven players though. Majority of the players he used were already at the club. Obviously, it helps when Messi comes through the youth system like...

Take it you're happy with Mourinho?

When has he said he doesn't need a striker? Lewandowski was a focal point of his Bayern side.

He didn't need a striker at Barca though, because Messi scored 211 goals in 219 games under him. Name me a striker that has got close to that in the modern game? There isn't one.

Mourinho's Madrid side won the league with a record number of points and goals scored - over 120

That's absolute pap

He also set a new points and goals scored record in the PL first time round with Chelsea. People don't like to remember things that differ with their opinion.

People focus on the perceived negative as it suits their agenda.

Mourinho wins games, notably big games, he finds a way to win, and if that involves parking the bus then he does it. To claim that his entire football style is based on that tactic is either driven by ignorance of the actual facts, or is plain puerile

Neither did Mourinho mate. You could pretty much parallel Pep at Barca and Mourinho at Chelsea. Lampard, Terry, Cole, Gallas, Makelele. Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Puyol, Etoo, Abidal. All quality players that were there when both came in. Neither bought all 11 but both bought loads after.

I've seen enough of him at RM to know he's not a stereotype of the chelsea manager ppl make out.

Pretty sure Mourinho didn't break any goals scored record in the PL at Chelsea? His team never finished as outright highest scorers while he was there in the PL. I think you probably mean goals conceded.

As in least? you could well be right. I just have it in my head they set a goals record when they set the points record <ok>

Yeah mate, they only scored 72 goals to Arsenals 87. But they only conceded 15 so I highly suspect its something to do with that number, because it seems really impressive.

Falicy being bullshitting about by sky and bbc who are creaming themselves on the story.

Hammering **** teams left and right with ronaldo in his prime.

Mourinho's snide tactics were witnessed by the world.

Eye gouging. Sending out pepe to do damage... fouling diving cheating.

The fact is Anchelotti followed him at Chelsea and real and made both clubs play better stuff.

Yawn... Yes yes beating Utd up and down the league in the process... epic fail there btw.

I note no manc seems to want to state their delight out loud for the record

Hard to be delighted when you've appointed one of the most snide football managers in history.

People can say he got a goals/points record or whatever at Real Madrid but history will only remember him in Spain as the guy who consistently got outplayed and out thought by Guardiola and had to resort to violence on the touchline because he couldn't hack it.

He guarantees trophies but he also guarantees ****house behaviour and cowardly tactics.
