Alan Shearer posted this in his blog on BBC: "Missing out on Champions League football means they will have a problem attracting the absolute top-class talent that they should be aiming for. Whoever is in charge will have the same problem - United will miss out on those players, because those players want to be in the Champions League."http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36352140 I think Shearer is stuck in 1999. Or perhaps he was talking about Newcastle United. If anything, United have shown over the past two years that we can still attract top players regardless of Champions League qualification. And with Jose Mourinho, I'm surprised Shearer would actually write that text. If Mourinho has no problem joining United, he would surely attract the very best of players to come work with him.
Gotta love it - last week McNulty was on his soapbox about how Klopp's personality combined with Liverpool's history and ambition will mean they can attract the players they need despite winning **** all and not being in Europe next year. But apparently the bigger and more successful club with the more successful manager and European football next year won't be able to attract the players they need... #bbcsalford
Di Maria!! Memphis was courted by many clubs when he chose to join United. No need to even drag Mr. Martial into the equation.
It was answered, I asked you back the same question. This is a football discussion forum, is that too difficult for you? Or do you think we're just here to answer your stupid ****ing questions?
Tbf you guys can attract any player you want I'd say the only clubs who would be able to rival you is bayern and the top 2 in Spain
Shaw, Schneiderlin, Herrera and Martial. But who gives a ****, when it comes to "absolute top class talent" the better news is we've developed even more. Something City seem to have forgotten.
Heresy! City have their multi kabillion academy with 52 training pitches, four stadiums, eight swimming pools, 12 gyms, 195 world class coaches and everything a young player could ever need to win the U16s league then fade off into lower league obscurity cos they never get a shot at the first team.
The "Elite Development Squad" has had 1 player in the first team though (Iheanacho), unfortunately they bought him two years ago when somebody else had already "developed" him.
You take everything far too seriously. City have only signed De Bruyne who is top class. I can admit it, but you have a hissy fit when asked. I don't think it was a stupid ****ing question, just a **** ****ing answer.
Apart from being forced to play Rashford, who will soon disappear, who else in your first team have your club developed?
Lingard. He just scored the winning goal in an FA Cup final. Fairy tale stuff really. By the way, Rashford scored more league goals in 11 games than Bony managed in 21.
Indeed, there's been no criticism of United's players by United fans on this board all season. You dopey twat!
