    Cheers. <ok>

As I said yesterday, we'll see how it pans out. If he signs a new deal with you lads, then good luck to you.

Some people are way too sensitive. A lot of what was said didn't seem an effort to annoy others, simply a different and indeed slightly naive opinion. But there is no need to name call etc, that's just immature and takes away any possible debate and discussion (which is what forums are for!).
Also lukaku for £28m was good business which ever way you look at it. A risk at the time? Certainly. Although there is no denying it has paid off immensely.

Depends on what you could have spent the money on instead. Yep as an individual, he'll still sell for £28m+ now. Was spending all of their available cash at the time on him and Gareth Barry (including wages) the best thing they could have done instead of strengthening the overall squad a bit more (like we do) the best thing to do, maybe not. Depends on what you value.

If they were in for him (not saying they are), would/should Leicester sign Lukaku this summer? Err, no. He's an individual, they are a team. He subtracts from the abilities of the players around him by needing to be the main man, and needing the play to go through him. Just my opinion though. Agree that others will see that one differently.

As we found with Osvaldo, we need team players...that's the reason why we don't put all our eggs in one basket and pay through the nose for a marquee player. Didn't work with Ramirez either....not that I want to link him with Osvaldo.

I see your point, and if lukaku hadn't been by far their blest players this season then I'd be inclined to agree. But the fact is he has been their best player, bagged plenty of goals and will sell for £50m this summer. That money can then be reinvested to improving the squad more than the original £28m would have done. Certainly a risk I must admit.

Completely agree that we need team players. Although just because we spend a lot of money on an individual, this doesn't mean they can't also be a team player. It's about finding the right player, admittedly on two previous occasions it hasn't worked out. This doesn't mean we should never make "big" signings again.

I actually quite like Everton, mainly because they're not Liverpool. I think the problem is once someone asks a question and it gets answered, it's quite annoying to have them come back and say "but....but...". Still, no need to be over-sensitive about it. I think that barring us sacking RK, or selling another large chunk of our players it's been made pretty clear that there's no chance he's going to Everton. This summer at least.

Everton are plotting a sensational £40m swoop for Manchester City and England goalkeeper Joe Hart, and could offer him weekly wages of £200,000 to tempt him to Goodison Park. The Sun

OK I know it's The Sun so it's probably rubbish but £40m for a goalie! We only paid £10m for Fraser and Hart is definitely not 4 times better than him. The world's gone mad.

Thought the same. It must be bullshit reporting. No club would pay £40m for Joe Hart! That would even be steep for De Gea or Neuer. Also, £200,000 a week is ridiculous.

Interesting to read a comment, this morning, that De Gea would no longer be interested in leaving Utd.
Not because of Mourhino, but because he and Mourinho have the same agent.
I would have thought Jorge Mendes would earn more, for himself and his client, by negotiating a good move.

Jorge Mendes looks after his friends first. It's why Ronaldo buys him crazy expensive stuff each year.

They have been after him for a few seasons now. So could easily be true.
