It's quite telling that a fan of a club who aren't and never will be our rivals can sink to referring to United as manure. You probably think it's funny too.
Get used to teams like Leicester looking down on you, your day has come and gone, and it will not come back any time soon thank goodness.....
Do you genuinely believe that? Really? The irony is that it's Swansea who are having a 'time', not us. In case you hadn't noticed, we're not exactly what you'd call a flash in the pan. We're going nowhere. You lot on the other hand.....
van tulip and £300 million got you what? 5Th place, Leicester spent a fraction of that, and are looking down on you? Everyone will watch their Champions league adventure with interest, while anyone know what Manures will be?......
I really don't see why anyone is responding to someone who's clearly expecting us to be a success soon enough. In 26 years every ABU out there has used any period where we've underachieved to claim the "end of the world is nigh" bcos they know they wont have much time to do it again as we'll succeed soon enough. That's been the case for years. I fear our bitter little welshman is no different. Seen plenty like him over the decades. They always disappear in the end
He was right though. A successful season for Swanley was finishing below Liverpool and lowering the suicide rate. A ****e season for United was winning the FA Cup. Do you ever consider going back to being a rugby fan?
Swanage spent more than Leicester. Your various managers of the past 12 months have let you down. To be fair I never thought you stood a chance with Tracy Chapman up front and a load of Liverpool fans in the stands.
Now this is a classic case of delusional thinking, better start geting used to being runners up, and appreciate the bigger clubs above you like the Gunners and Leicester, are now the front runners.
Now if all's calm from last night I'd like to say that I read in the BBC football pages that Mourinho can "Save" Man Utd. I have to admit I frowned when I saw that because I'm not sure he can save you from what? 5th and the FA Cup seems a reasonable return for a season to me and no salvation is needed.
On the issue of Ryan Giggs: He obviously commands a lot of respect for his unique record as a united player. It's clear now he won't be given the job even if Mourinho fails as United's owners won't risk giving the manager's job to an untried rookie. He's hardly made any progress as assistant to Moyes and LVG. He will be better off imo to go and cut his teeth elsewhere. But as many ex players have found out very difficult to come back as no1 later. I can't really see Giggs as a future United manager. But he can still build a good career as a manager like Bruce and Hughes have done. The owners will not just give him one of the biggest jobs in world football just because he's a playing legend. ALSO: as a no2 it didn't look as if he had any influence on the style of football being played did he? I cannot imagine him being happy with the possession football served.
Save us from the poor quality, ineffectual, and unattractive football being played under LVG and Moyes. It might be difficult to grasp, but not all fans and clubs measure everything by league position or the number of trophies won. Entertainment matters to some as well I for one am quite interested to see if the manager who achieved the highest points total, goals scored, wins and goal difference in the history of La Liga can do the same at another club with a similar tradition of attacking and entertaining.
