If people enjoy rugby then good for them I don't see the problem Of course the crowds aren't very big it's a minority sport
It's more just replying to dull comments. No wonder the local media get away with their bias, people seem hell bent on letting them.
No, we didn't cover it,all that happened was you threw out a daft idea to try and support your nitpicking; give your idea a little thought and then come back and educate us all with a brief timetable - that shouldn't tax you.
There were over 4,000 FC fans there, according to their Communications Manager (currently on RH), no idea how many KR took, he clearly thinks Magic Weekend was a big success.
Presumably, you offer similar advice to any topic on here. Club issues, write to Allam, poor formation, write to Steve Bruce. For what it's worth, like others, I've done more than that, and had explanations as to why there is a perceived bias. One was effectively that there is pretty much only good news to report about rugby, and negative news about City. A similar version of that was offered on air. There are plenty of comments on various public discussion sites expressing similar views. There again, Rovers complain about FC bias, Grimsby complain it's pro Hull. It's a decent topic for discussion, but some seem to want to deny it, or bury it away.
Aye, similar numbers to the football for a normal game there. Did the local radio have City on to talk about that?
Aye, that's quite a skill isn't it. They've tried several ways of tweaking the programme in the past, but judging by comments, there's still a lot of room for improvement. I'd say discussing it is more liable to achieve something than just denying it. It's another of those topics where I can't see why some have such apparent issues if it's spoken of.
So nobody is happy then ??? Sounds about right. In all honesty Dutch its pretty garbage. Maybe better having Monday then Friday. Also midweek match days.
Matt Dean's sports report for Look North tonight, Hull FC, Grimsby Town, Hull KR, North Ferriby Utd. No mention or build up of the massive game at Wembley on Saturday, ticket up date, transport options, nowt, **** all, its only worth £180M, unbelievable!
Must be some mistake there, my brother (the **** him), who wasn't there btw, ''reckoned'' FC took 18,000 and KR had a half full mini-bus of fans - he also says, if FC weren't there Magic weekend wouldn't exist .......... just thought I'd tidy this thread up ............. no need for thanks, you're all welcome.
Could it be that all the other sport clubs in the region are nice to the local media whereas the owners of Hull City are not? I bet they've even fallen out with their own shadows.
Presumably? I can't recall giving such advice before, that's more your style. As you brought it up, I am still putting my 50p pieces in a jam-jar so one day I might have enough to buy the club to be able to have an opinion on it - just as you once said was necessary. I think a lot of folk will have worked out any reason for bias without needing to write to someone; the vast majority of the rest won't give a ****.
Define they? I wonder if they'd miss the few quid I spend on replica kit for the grankids at Christmas
