This has just come up on Sky. We all knew it would eventually happen but Man Utd will win the title next year if they have him as the manager.
The owners have been keeping their powder dry so will heavily fund the rebuild. This is why we may end up with Carrick. Can you see John Terry following him there?
I doubt it especially as Terry has signed a contract extension at Chelski. To me Man Utd need at least 6 first team players minimum plus we know Jose doesn't like Mata
I disagree. I think that Mourinho has developed a 'God complex' and fell out with the major players at Chelsea. Jose was "betrayed" by Diego Costa & Eden Hazard and I can see him alienating quite a few players in future. Sacking LVG and replacing him with JM is a HUGE risk to my mind, and i'm convinced it will back-fire on Manchester United. Shame that.
Anyone who follows Van Gaal will be a very lucky man and the beneficiary of some sterling work. The young players he has brought on this season is terrific. Shame he won't get to see the fruits of his labour. Jose might **** it up to be honest, he doesn't tend to bother with youngsters. He's more of a 3 year stay man and just trying to buy all of the best players.
Personally l think the time when MUFC was the right fit for Mourinho has come and gone. I don't think this is going to work out in the long run. Ferguson and Charlton are rumoured to be opposed to his appointment. Mourinho is to brash imho, but time will tell. It's going to make interesting viewing.
What makes you so sure of this? Obviously he's an excellent manager, and Chelsea this season was a blip rather than a sign of things to come, but with Guardiola at Man City, Conte at Chelsea, Klopp at Liverpool and Spurs and Arsenal no doubt stepping it up next season, he's got plenty of competition. Plus regardless of the finds he gets, other clubs are big spenders these days, so the days of him having a massive financial advantage are long gone.
