So WHU start their campaign on July 28th (with 2nd leg on August 4th)....glad that's not us. They may have a problem if drawn at home first as there is an Athletics meet at the Olympic Stadium on 22-24th July and the transition to a football stadium takes one week. Thankfully we are in the group stage <diva> and don't start till September 15th. The Hammers may join us then...unless they get knocked out, but we don't want that, do we?:bandit:

Fraser talking about playing in Europe and he, Virgil, Victor and Bertie all have Champions League experience:

We must have a few others with European experience? I'm not sure, but these may have:

Steven Davis
Dusan Tadic
Graziano Pelle
Oriel Romeu
Jordy Clasie
Stekkers
Sadio Mane
Cedric Soares

If they do, that could helps us manage this campaign.

I have a sneaky feeling that Graziano [Feyenoord], Sadio [Saltzburg] and maybe even Jordy might have had CL experience. Or the sneaky feeling might be of the Europa League, and I don't mean with Saints.

If someone said emphatically NO, I'd back down in an instant on that though. ;)

Ron must surely be looking to bring in players who have experience, especially if they play for a club that isn't going to be playing in Europe next season. Teams like Bordeaux, for example, or .. oh come on, help me out. That English club that wears red. Got two great centre backs, one of them bought for a song from a little club down south. You know who I mean. Lost two Cup Finals this year. Who are they...? Anyway, that lot. Some of their players might fancy a European adventure next year.

With my emotional head on I wouldn't consider any of them for a second. With my practical head on I'd take Coutinho in a heartbeat. ;)

Funny you should say that ..... Before the game at Anfield I was asked by a Reds fan which player of theirs I'd like to see in a Saints shirt and my instant response was the same. Fabulous player. Can they keep him?

Perhaps in three years time when Koeman wants to move on to something bigger, Klopp may fancy doing the same and replacing him here :)

Looking at the list of possible opponents, I would think Saints fans would want to avoid any side from Turkey, for obvious reasons. Same with Greek opponents. From a fans safety perspective any team from Germany or the Netherlands would be safe, as would a trip to Portugal to sample a visit to a vineyard. Any chance of a Scottish team for our Aberdeen Saint?
