The biggest imbalance in radio humberside content is the amount of coverage they dedicate to Grimsby and Scunthorpe, more than equal airtime to what City get with a fraction of our fan-base.
I was at the game today and both clubs did the City proud, took more fans than any other club and made more noise than all of them put together. It may be a minority sport and our teams haven't had the most glorious of pasts but like it or not its in the DNA of our City along with a great football club, we should celebrate it, even if it's just because we're now better than Leeds at yet another sport!
Good post, it is in the DNA, like it or not. There are **** fans on all sides and to judge the sport, and the rest of the fans, because of them is simply a poor measure of the judge, nothing else. In any other circle it might be known as bigotry. What gets me, about where the so-called off-topic has been taken, is that it seems to have been made the responsibility of the RL support to change the broadcast policy of the BBC.
The better question would be what are Hull City doing to build links with the local media and encouraging them to devote air time/column inches the club? I imagine the answer is not that much.
I totally hear what you're you're saying Happy, but surely you should rise above ****s like that, two wrongs and all that.
Maybe all these 'city' supporters who are ferociously defending the sport of rl (despite the thread being about something else) belong to those many thousands who took the piss out of city for years and years and became part of the media attack on our club, often sharing and circulating down right lies about us, only to jump on the band wagon when we started to do alright again? Maybe this is their guilt coming out?
I think City would do particularly well if there were only 12 equally sized clubs in our league and you got to Wembley after winning three games.
RH knew there would be 'over 50,000' there before it even kicked off. Which was the original point of this thread.
It sounded like it too. You could hear them in the games before too. Yes I'm a Hull FC fan. But also equally a city fan /supporter and proud to be so. Before moving out here I had season passes for both.
