Who are 'we'? These are companies making decisions in the best interests of their shareholders. They only care about countries and their economies as places to make dosh. Ireland offers a good deal and a skilled workforce, most of the biggest drugs companies have manufacturing sites there. And the U.K. plays the same game, bet there are blokes sitting in Japan and Germany moaning about Nissan, Toyota and BMW investing here instead of at 'home'.

Aye up he's on a roll. You'd never know some of his family were immigrants from Galway.

mainly housing, they planned to have 3 big office blocks but held back as Canary Wharf was struggling to fill their office space. It seems a life time away when they had cows in the fields and a cattle grid along Twyford Abbey Road

The irony of it. He's giving out about foreigners coming to Britain and taking all the jobs when his own family were immigrants. Hypocrisy of the highest order.

what's hypocritical about voicing an opinion, 300,000 coming in each year is not sustainable. My parents both came over during the war, I would imagine there was more leaving at that time. My issue is not immigrants, but the sheer number of them.

You can't beat the son of immigrants to lecture everybody on immigration. I am sure your parents would be very proud of your views.

I voiced my opinion, not a lecture, on your logic, Boris and my mate Nige shouldn't have a view either.

Irritable Bowel Smith kicks of the day by claiming that Penny Mordaunt, far from being a lying fool, was right to say we won't have a veto on Turkey entering the EU, because the British people won't have a referendum on it. Clearly we should have a referendum on everything and do without Parliament. You stupid man. You only had to look at her vacuous, bovine face when she was making her claims to see she is completely witless and had been told to go on the telly and say some stuff that Boris can't because is is on film sitting by the Bosphorus sipping something saying Turkey should be invited into the EU, and the only reason they aren't in is because it's a Muslim country.

Brexit launch their poster campaign, with one saying Turkey is Joining the EU. And getting the population of Turkey wrong on it - an underestimate, the incompetent liars.

Meanwhile the Treasury tells us we will be thrown into a fiery pit almost immediately should we choose to leave. **** you too.

The Turkey issue has highlighted the fact that Cameron will do anything to win. In 2010, he was fawning over Turkey, saying he would do whatever it took to pave Ankara's path to Brussels and declaring himself a huge supporter of Turkey's accession. Yesterday, he estimated Turkey would not be a member of the EU for another thousand years, the year 3000 and would have no hesitation in exercising a veto to stop them.

It's descended into the two camps basically saying:

"Vote Remain and get a n***** for a neighbour"
"Vote Brexit for ten years of locusts, pestilence and purgatory"

It will get worse as the vote counts down.

(I mean the politicians, not on here of course)

90% of your contribution on the whole thread has been on an anti-immigration stance. I will state again that you are trying to lecture the entire message board on your view of immigration. You want to deny other decent people the opportunity that the country afforded your parents. If you want to practice what you preach, maybe you should return to your parents homeland? On second thoughts, I think it would be better if you stayed where you are old chap.

Based on what you have posted on this thread about Ireland, you haven't got a fecking clue about what's going on over here. I would suggest you could write what you know about Ireland on the back of a postage stamp. There is no point in discussing it with ignorant people who refuse to listen.

Yes, the one certainty to emerge from this campaign is that all Tories are liars.

    You keep threatening that.
