Something like that mate, but he didn't wanna go back to Rubin either and that was our gain.

Hard to find facts about the Russian league, Dynamo going down is a huge story.

He fell out with the Rubin coach didn't he? I know he had a bit of a reputation as a tearaway in France but he seems to have knuckled down with us. I hope that means he likes it here because I think he's class.

I love him mate, him & Kirch are absolutely a top half pairing.

Borini left and a lefty right with Khazri behind Defoe and we are looking smashing.

    Here's hoping.

That would be immense! I'd love to see Khazri playing as a number 10. Yeah, Kirchhoff is class too!

The ideal addition would be Townsend of that lot.

He'd make that system perfectly balanced.

Kirchhoff is one of those players that seems to have that extra bit of time and space on the ball without having to move quickly. It's a great trait to have and shows his class.

I'd like to see him having a few more shots from distance as he seems very reluctant to pull the trigger and judging by how accurate his long passes are you'd think his shooting would be decent.

Yeah, I'd go along with that. I know he's not been there long but do you think he'd be accepted?

He is! He's one of those players you can sit and watch all day- oozes class.
I don't recall him getting into many shooting positions but you're right, you'd imagine he'd be able to place a shot from distance

Kirchhoff was the guy for you, the fitter he got, the better you played.

Great addition, he should be your captain.

Passing the ball neatly around the pitch is a lot different to hitting the ball on target, with power. He doesn't strike me as a player who would get a lot of joy by shooting from distance. Towards the end of the season though, I seen glimpses of him playing the ball forward and continuing his run into the box, looking for the one-two. That sort of play does seem more suited to his game, imo.

I don't think he does really but the times that he has he looks like shooting is the last thing on his mind. I dunno if he mainly played CB at Bayern but if he did that'd explain it.

Fair point. But that's why I said placing it from distance; I could see him floating the occasional shot past an out of position or unsighted goalkeeper. He's not going to be hitting rockets- its generally the stockier players that do that. Yes, as his fitness increased he was continuing his runs further.

Haha mate I remember that, I got excited and followed the link back. It was a paper trail of "as reported by..." and originally just came from absolutely nothing. It was some ****e online "news site" with a throwaway line about we should be interested, and it just got blown up and blown up until Daily Mail or some of crap were reporting that we were "considering a bid" <laugh>

Probs one of us on here started it.

For example, Ibrahimovic is signing on Tuesday, as Defoe's understudy.

    Pass it on...
