I don't think anyone on here (or any serious football fan for that matter) is anything other than delighted at Leicester's PL win but it is a sad fact of life that their success was as much down to a perfect storm of f**k -ups by the likes of ourselves, Spurs, City and Arsenal as it was down to their own efforts. Next season normal service will be resumed and the exhausting efforts of additional (tough) competition football will take its toll on an inexperienced squad and Leicester will become one of those strange anomalies where a mid-table club struggling for form is also on our TVs playing in the CL. That does nothing to decry their achievement this year. Every fan values the success and the achievements of their own club and a victory like yesterday is just as sweet as the night I watched Charlton & co beat Benfica in '68. Its all relative.
Premier League titles are like breast implants ... They look nice but they 're not real and they ain't what they used to be . Good luck trying to buy another one with the other handful that are trying to make the purchase. Your first paragraph only enhances this truth
The first part say's assistant manager, the second part say's coaching role. I could see him as a striking coach, strange link either way, have they ever worked together before?
I wasnt going by that article, just in general. Will Mourinho want him? Will he want to be Mourinho's assistant? Will he feel like it's time he cut his teeth in management somewhere else?
Ahh right. TBH I have no idea if Maureen works with an assistant, if he does they never seem to get mentioned. It would do Giggs good to step out of his comfort zone and get a taste of management elsewhere like Nev has.
Clark at Chelsea is a very good example. I think he missed him in his second tenure at chelsea bcos there was nobody to keep him grounded within the club.
Yeah, now I have thought about it Clark is a good shout. He doesn't seem to have anyone he takes with him though like others do.
I think that Mourinho could do worse than keep Giggs and get Gary Nev on board. There's your club links, right there. Whether Giggs will want to is up for question I suppose but if he isn't then make Neville his assistant.
Just googled him, assistant coach and fitness coach. His record with Maureen is very impressive, have never gone a full season or calendar year without winning a trophy.
