Will do FLT. Must say that's a very generous way of settling this, you're a top man for sorting the shirt out on our behalf
Spend a few days walking around New York and it quickly becomes apparent that 60-70% of the cops are black or hispanic. They are trigger happy though; a man was shot dead in Times Square last Wednesday, and he was only armed with a knife. Meanwhile in the Bronx, a 19 year old male is in custody for fatally shooting his best friend in the chest last week. And a cop was suspended after being caught on camera punching a suspect in the face whilst attempting arrest in the lobby of a housing project. It is fairly widely accepted that in order to police a community, the police have to win it's trust. That trust seems to have broken down in many cities in the US, but to blame the problem on racist police is to massively over simplify a complex problem. There may be places in the deep south where that is the case, but certainly not in cities like New York or LA, where a largely black and hispanic police force are still at some distance from the communities they are trying to serve.
Bloody hellfire, this crash is enormous: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/formula-1/watch-incredible-formula-3-crash-8018410 Hope he pulls through.
Sorry if this has been posted , but what ......... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-36354206
Well done Jasper. I'm glad someone posted that as I, and I'm sure others, wanted to know how much someone would pay for that weapon. ****ing appalling. Only in the USA. EDIT: Reading the actual details of the news item just appals me even more.
I'm pretty sure that if I was forced to shoot a young man who attacked me (assuming that is what happened) I would be cut up about it and wouldn't want to see the gun again. And I wouldn't want the weapon glorified and, if I did sell it, I would want to do some good with the money. Guess this guy won't be doing that.
There's a large part of me that loathes how he behaves, but one cannot deny that the bloke knows his stuff. Resourceful, imaginative and apparently self-taught. I certainly admire him for that. What he does to a perfectly good [and I think brand new] sports motorcycle, in one of his videos, though is sacrilege.
Have no problem booking holidays, but then comes the scariest thing of all....travel insurance! Oh, for the days you could toss a tenner at some cheapo company and fly out....you can't do that when you have EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS. Have just filled out on-line forms several times and arrived at what I wanted, but found it wouldn't take my money. Had to phone said company and they wanted all the details all over again and re-read them all back to me. I sound iller every time I heard it. Anyway done now....I'm covered for everything except something that might happen.
Whoop! Fable bigged up in The Guardian's review of Great Escape Festival. Must be the influence of the Saints shirt...! http://www.theguardian.com/music/2016/may/22/the-great-escape-festival-brighton-review-stormzy
12 months ago, if you typed Fable into Google Images you got a host of pictures about the computer game. You could add pretty much anything to that and the Fable game would still dominate. Fable, the singer, would not appear at all. Do the same now and you still get Fable, the game, dominating. Now type Fable, the singer. See what you get. Progress.
I filled in many on line forms, because of my wife having lung cancer, but they were all a waste of time and asked the same questions. I could never get past the question that asked "how many metres can you walk before you get breathless?". It then gives options 10m, 30m or such like. There was never an option to write "My wife is in a wheelchair because she cannot walk, so the question is not valid ". Found a company called MIA, who cover serious illness, so long as a doctor has cleared you for travel within 60 days of your holiday date. All questions asked over the phone, and records kept, so when you use them again, you just have to confirm the information they already have and add too it, if need be.
Anyone who enjoys a dramatic sporting finish where the underdog wins (spoiler alert!) will enjoy this.
looks like it's going to be rubbish eh Tom? Starts Sunday - I'm looking forward to it http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03plr2r
I don't like the presenters apart from Le Blanc. Evans is a dick and the rest are unentertaining IMO.
Fair enough. I actually don't know enough about the others to know or decide if they are, or can be entertaining or not. That's why I am going to give it a few chances to see what I think. I love "Joey" from Friends, however anytime I have seen Matt Le Blanc as himself, I have found him fairly dull ... we will see. "Could we be any further apart with our views?" Chris Evans has been a massive 'Dick' in a lot of his younger years, however he is a very successful television programme creator. This is why I think it will be a success, if I had to make a call now.
