Another major negative to the colt's 2000 Guineas form as the fillies race today was run on sloewer ground yet was still 3 seconds quicker than the boys! So make no mistake that was two very good fillies fought out the finish there, miles of the rest. Still think Minding wants the Oaks trip anyway so not unhappy with that run at all. Spare a thought for the Hannons selling a Classic winner for £12k <doh>

STH hope the golf gets done today. Rory looking like he's, at last, getting a win here and his first of the season. Nice time to get going, assuming of course he does hold on, with lot of big tournaments coming up.

I think it might be a good thing to have happened for those wanting to back her for Epsom Oaks.

Might entice the bookies to take her on that bit more.

I do think Minding is a middle distance filly but I do have a slight worry about the twelve furlongs, even though the dam was Lillie Langtry.

I have no sympathy for the Hannons at all. They are in the horseracing business and made a decision to sell the filly and somebody else capitalised. If she had turned out to be a selling plater, they would have been laughing all the way to the bank.

Great performance by James Reveley on this improving young chaser, and by trainer Macaire in getting the first two in the big one at Auteuil. <applause>

Really enjoying this Auteuil festival. In the second Grade 1 (4:35) have to go with the favourite Punch Nantais, and another one for trainer Guillaume Macaire. Hope I haven't picked the wrong one of his again! :emoticon-0100-smile

Found has still never won a race on soft ground after that

Looks like you want to see her on the faster stuff.

Fair play to the Reveley lad his trips to France are usually very profitable. At the end of last year he had a treble over at Auteil one Sunday on the same day that Moloney had a treble over here. The French treble was about 10 x as profitable as the English one however. Can't understand why more lads don't follow his example.

Last season, Found was ante post favourite for the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket having won the Prix Marcel Boussac. I had backed her ante post so I am commenting out of my wallet.

O’Blarney took her out of the Guineas (therefore losing my bet) and ran her the following day in a Group 3 race in Ireland with a penalty and she got turned over on heavy ground. He messed her around all season – she only won a three runner race before winning the Breeders’ Cup Turf. Listen Aidan, she does not want soft ground.

I had convinced myself that Tangerine Trees (won Nottingham 4:35) had not won a race in years but I went and had a look and he won a six-runner affair last year first time out. Well done to the 11 year old, showing his juniors a clean pair of hooves!

There could be a very interesting contest at Sandown on Thursday night, as I have had a look at the entries for the Brigadier Gerard and if the likes of Air Pilot, Ayrad, Intilaaq and Western Hymn (last year’s winner) turn up it could be a right battle. I note that Time Test is entered – if the ground is okay, will he show up with a 5lb penalty?
