There was a much more detailed report of this on the Sky page this morning, it came from some Spanish outlet and state's that Maureen has signed a pre-contract to take over in July please log in to view this image
He'll have known, I'm fairly sure it's been agreed a while. They've done very well to keep it under wraps and not do a City really.
The BBC don't go all in on reports until they're very sure it's true. It's done. Harsh timing, but not a harsh decision. Mourinho represents a golden opportunity. I did like LVG as man if not for his football, so i'm glad he got the FA cup to salvage some dignity.
Yeah, tbh his last few interviews have been pretty defensive and almost resigned to the fact he could be gone.
Perfect , Man U have to start over again with a new manager and give him a ton of money with no guarentee of anything . It's like Deja vu all over again , good for all the other clubs
Because having just won the FA Cup with players like Rashford, Lingard and Martial in the team we're utterly ****ed.
Unlikely to start all over again. But even if we did, it's better to give fans hope that things MAY change. Of course there is no guarantee of success but however good LVG may have been with other clubs, he isnt and was not the right manager to take over Fergie's legacy. He just didn't understand the United culture. Mourinho may not last long in fact I'd be surprised if he lasted more than 3 years but he may continue the feel good factor from this weekend.
It is very unlikely that he didn't know. He was told but the club did not humiliate him and turned him into a lame duck like city did with pellegrini. LVG remained the manager as he had to prepare the team for top 4 and the FA cup. I think United did the right thing.
Again that's a bit vague, some people admire the art of defending, some the beauty of fast flowing attacking and yet others prefer the tactical approach to the game and see it as a game of chess. What do you think is "the best" football?
