Match Day Thread Man Utd ...v C Palace

An extremely poor final. One manager playing football by numbers versus one manager playing with fear. Man U deserved to win because at the end of the day they showed more intent. Lets hope the Champions League Final and the Play Off Finals provide more excitement.

Valley - we played Cardiff before the Everton cup tie

And then had Napoli a few days after Everton.

As I said to Roof 2 years ago, Cardiff and Napoli were far more important. The Everton tie (which we nearly won) was a sensible sacrifice at the time.

Just don't mention what happened at Birmingham under ML defending our cup to Roof

Laudrup handed over a healthy team , a healthy team he didn't have for the previous month and a half , to Monk and Jenkin's and not only was it 3 and out in the FA Cup and Europe , but we almost were in a relegation battle up till the final 4 games .
You were full of it then valley , and your full of it now .. Nothing personal .

 

Rank the games given their importance in your opinion Roof.

Napoli, Everton, Cardiff.

Cardiff was by far the biggest game, followed by the tie against Napoli.

Edit: Don't bother, I'm not getting involved in all of that again.

 

Monk had a whole week to prepare for the Cardiff ( worst team in the League and Jenkin's knew it , that's why the sneak sacked him then ) and after he beat that worst team in the League it was 10 more games till we won another game . Jenkin's was counting on it being impossible, given it was a healthy team , for anyone to blow the opportunity handed to him on a silver platter , little did he know .

 

Can't believe that a thread on the FA Cup Final has morphed into Laudrup & Monk........

Disgusting the way Manu have treated Van Tulip, I'm not a fan of him, but to release info on Mourinho coming in so quickly after the cup win is disgraceful, I have never liked the club, maybe because of old bacon faces grip on Giggsy's games for Wales, but doing the double over them next season would be very sweet indeed.........

 

Palace Were robbed by the Ref, They should have been 2-0 up in the first half and then scored first in the second but the Ref was determined for Man utd to win. If Palace had gone 3-0 up like they should have been they would have won that.....
