When I read it, I was like WTF. What can a club do to keep the players.

 

I wonder how that will influence Ronald. He keeps going on about retaining the squad.

 

I just don't know what goes through their heads...

 

Why they would want to leave/ be sold is understandable. Mane and wanyama and Juanmi were obvious, Pelle wants to return to Italy, tadic is just annoying.

 

I can't see him being v. happy at all. I expect he will honour his contract, and then move on.

 

Looks like the contract offer to Tadic was quickly turned down then.

 

Juanmi and Pelle I always expected to leave and they won't be huge misses. Wanyama I also expect to leave and that's OK. I will however, be ****ing hacked off if we sell Mane and Tadic.

 

Must have a club already lined up.

Nothing to do with the clubs ambition is it? It's to do with players wanting to leave for personal gain.

 

The board. They've done a good job in replacing the players we've sold but I'm starting to get tired with the turnover of players. Mane's got TWO years left on his contract. We don't have to sell him this summer.

 

Yeah Pelle and Juanmi are off because they aren't really needed here. Wanyama isn't a surprise, neither is Mane, another club must be in for Tadic as I find it surprising he wants to go for any other reason. The simple fact is Europa league is nice for the fans etc, but a lot of the players we sign from abroad will have played in it, or perhaps even higher, with their previous teams. The only way to keep our players is to pay them more money.

When we don't have to sell we are in the strongest position. Not that I want to sell Mane...

Mane has already proven what he can be like when he wants to leave...

 

Only real surprise is Tadic on that list (and even then, he was making noises a while back). Be gutted if we lost Dusan.

Juanmi hasn't played so no big miss. Mane and Wanyama have been known to be off for a while. Austin is a Pelle replacement.

 

I'm not surprised by Pelle and Juanmi, And I won't lose any sleep. I'm not too bothered by Wanyama, I was hoping he would extend though.

 

If we sell Mane this summer and get less than 40mill for him the board have ****ed up big time.

 

No it's not the club it's the players and hopefully Ronald will agree with us. Tadic and Mane still have 2 years left on their contracts so if no one comes in with the clubs valuation they may be stuck here. Could be interesting.

 

We are not going to sell Mane unless we get an unbelievable price for him, he will just have to stay put.
