Well done utd. Some guys there really wanted it there like rooney, just a bit of composure in places.

Palace never made a chance after that sitter at 1-1, TOTAL MELT.

Standard palace. They were the same when they were up against you guys when milner got sent off. So negative and can only hit teams on the break. They jet cannot pass it around.

Will they get their most players ever sent off in FA cup finals trophy before or after they lift the Emirates Cup?

Yup.. totally right. Just looking for runners on break but they've been so poor for months.

Surely utd must bin felliani now.

They were so much better than this without him.

Well it's going to be embarrassing when Clattenburg goes up for his winners medal. The two times he blew the whistle in the first half when Palace would benefit from the advantage being played was very poor refereeing. Saw Fergie in the crowd so maybe he did the old brown envelope, old habits die hard.

What makes it even worse is that West Ham have managed to get into the EL.

This is a bitter bitter win for us to take. When I think we could easily have had the mancs giving us the Europa. That would have been a great feeling. <ok>

I don't know if anyone noticed, but Palace were a bit negative after Smalling was sent off. Just saying.

Jose Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea following defeat by Leicester City in December
Manchester United will appoint Jose Mourinho as their new manager, BBC Sport understands.

Mourinho has been out of work since he was sacked by Chelsea in December.

With United failing to qualify for the Champions League under Louis van Gaal, the Old Trafford hierarchy are thought to have decided a change is required.

It is understood a deal with Mourinho was agreed in principle before Saturday's FA Cup final victory against Crystal Palace.

The club plan to announce his arrival early next week after telling Van Gaal his reign has come to an end.

The Dutchman still has one season remaining on his three-year deal, but despite spending £250m on new players, his tenure has disappointed many fans, the club finishing fourth and then fifth in the Premier League.

Van Gaal's grip on his job has seemed increasingly fragile this season, with Mourinho known to covet the task of masterminding a revival at United three years after legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down.

    More to follow.

From an outsiders view, he is not known for giving youth a chance and not staying more than 3 or 4 years at clubs, unless he's been told utd have a tradition and policy of bringing young players through to the first team and esestablishing themselves and he has to continue the tradition utd are in danger of becoming the new Chelsea and buying successs at any and all cost.

He seems to have "cut his cloth" to suit the needs of the clubs he has been at, I think he has been looking for a place that would give him a top profile yet allow him some leeway to have the off year while bringing youth through.
He has coveted the United job for a long time and obviously see's himself as a natural successor to SAF, we shall see if he is right he cant be worse than the last two but, as you point out he needs to show faith in the youth of the club.

In all honesty, I think utd appointing Jose is a very very poor choice. He is always short term, will guaranteed fall out with people. I doubt you will ever see Rashford or Lingarrd play for utd again, or to any kind of amount you would hope. 2019/2020 he will be gone again.

I was more concerned they would approach someone like Simeone or some other top upcoming coaches.
