A difference is Rodgers was playing full strength in PL and resting in cups, Klopp was doing the opposite more often.

**** knows that Chelsea were doing. The players were in a strop. They had **** all reason to play for the new manager since they knew he was off at the end of the season. The the last few games they though they might as well try for a transfer.

Lukaku's done **** all in the run-in. 840 minutes without a goal (since Chelsea in the FA Cup).

Despite Chelsea's worst defence of a PL ever Costa had a good season. They would have been relegated without him.

 

True.

Regarding our stats, Klopp did indeed rest key players in the league. We tailed off at the end of the season. It is not being wise after the event as I was one of a few here who thought the policy of totally resting the key players a long time before the final could backfire.

Had we got the same number of points as last season, we would have qualified for Europe in 6th or 7th. I am sure we won't repeat that mistake again next season (only domestic cups of course).

A couple of big performances in the run-in (Norwich, Bournemouth) means Rooney was just as effective as Lukaku this season.
