Football League announce radical plan for 4 divisions of 20 clubs from 2019/20

    its a great idea!
    we do **** in international tournaments cos our players are knackered after a long season.

    This will have no bearing on internationals, they're all Premier League players. <doh>

    The Premier League isn't affected by these new rules.

    And it's 'ply their trade'.

    It's as though someone at the FL has just typed '4 Divisions of 20 teams by 2019/20' and released it to the press.

    No substance, no plans to arrive at that figure, no timescale in applying the necessary changes.
    No details about promotion/relegation (especially promotion to the PL), play-offs

    Until more details are released it just raises dozens of questions.

    erroneous presumption, old lad. reserve teams played in the scottish league in the past and were banned from promotion. you can't have chelsea a playing chelsea b. the conflict of interest is even too obvious for football associations to allow it.

    that's why I wrote part b - they could all be at the top of the championship with no promotion - never assume anything is too obvious for the FA
