Nah, take a look at this years ranking. 50 points gets you around 40th. 50th is around 40points.

 

Interesting to see if clubs like West Ham, Southampton etc. respect the Europa league. Southampton didn't last time and embarrassed themselves in a qualifier. The problem for them though is that if they take it seriously you are potentially talking about losing 3 or 4 league places minimum.

 

I think Bilic will try with West Ham. Southampton will only enjoy it to an extent.

 

I think they will need to bin off the league cup completely. Just put the kid's in and give them their head.

As for the EL, you can get out of the group stages with home wins and a draw away. I'd cherry pick the fixtures depending on opposition and distances to travel, then mix the team up to suit.
If you make it out of the group, then you go full bore in the KO's. Worked for us this year.

I have a feeling they won't try hard.

I just think these clubs mentality is one where they will play the league match and then scratch for a side to ful fil the fixutre and just trying at home in particular

and frnakly the minute any of them get to knockouts they are gone. they will throw the games after christmas.

If even a couple italians just perform to par (they were way below their usual standards this year) then we will see englands sport eroded

Really its a pure case of CL we need much more out of city and arsenal cos frnakly spurs will do well to get 2nd in a group and leicester are on a jolly

 

I do think the league cup semi finals are a complete killer so yeah. if you can get to QF of league cup with kids great. if they lose, no biggie. (if you are in europe)

The semi finals of the league cup are a DISASTER for a club in europe as they come right after the busiest period of the year right in the gap where you need some time to get ready for europe.

for me.. the league cup should be shifted earlier in seasons and the two legged semi must go... but then an international break could go as well please!

Huge FL shake up proposed. 5 divisions of 20 teams meaning less fixtures per season and another 20 pro teams.

Makes es sense to me

 

Never really understood why there were 24 teams in lower leagues

I think its subject to change anyway. i remember looking at old leagues and there was a north and south thing so... I think its mildly interesting.

I think still no matter what people say having reserve teams in there would be good for development of players.

I think there is like ok 4 games a season less at home to compensate these clubs for but i do honestly think its good.

the FA cup will be torn apart form what i read. its a nasty nasty change there.. 3rd and 4th rounds midweek... no replays etc...

I would rather they kill the league cup and play the FA cup earlier than this.

 

It would mean a loss of 4 home games for all the teams. I can see them agreeing to that. Turkeys don't vote for xmas!

I think they would be better to go for a compromise of 2 national divisions (Championship and Lge1) of 22 and 2 regional divisions under that of 20 teams each. Bring in teams from the Conference to make up the numbers.

 

Maybe. The main issue is money. If you shovel money at them they'll do anything. Adding a Fifth division requires money.
