So that's one dodgy character exiting stage left. What about the other two?

I'll have a Guinness (medicinal purposes). Does anyone know whether Paladini took the Pelican with him?

    <cheers>A large one for Cerny.<cheers>

I have to admit that as time has gone on it appears that the gist of what he said is coming to pass.

Any ideas about tonight's lottery numbers Cerny?

Well I for one am pleased for QPR that they have these leaches out. As an outsider they seem like terrible owners with their own agenda.

If United, Blackburn ad Newcastle could also get rid of their current owners then finally some respectability could be restored to English Football.

    WHAT?!! STEAMY PALADINI GONE?????? WOW!!!

Gotta say Cerny B, when it comes to mainline announcements, you're different class mate... subtlety just ain't the word! The end of Paladini was something I'd have expected (and I don't do expection... ) to have come repleat with weeks of speculation and as the axe fell, banner headlines emblazoned across back pages and multiple thread heads on every website with a Rangers connection!!

You're criticised by our pedants (no offence Col et al) over absolutes when what you're telling us is which way the wind's blowing - and then in the midst of the subsequent cut and thrust exchanges you let slip that the antiChrist is no more... It's like mentioning that we'd won the lottery in the middle of a row with the wife over the shopping bill!

Paladini gone? Wow! Whether this is actual or some form of extended metaphore on the Goons per se, it's all good. Just the thought of being able to take the 'P' out of the Goon show makes for the best weekend I've had since we got that result at Watford!

If for any reason it doesn't come to pass, I'll thank Cerny B for giving us a couple of days off...

AND if it's as true as predicted, it's party time - even for a miserable sod like me!! WOO - EEEE !!!

Paladini the anti-Christ? Steady on, Brix!

You know I've always been one of the "Goons Out" brigade, but (and I'm ready to be shown I'm wrong here) I never quite put Paladini on quite the same low level as Eccles and Flabs. Paladini seemed to have the club's welfare at heart - even though his methods were suspect at times and hence I'm glad he's going (if it's true) - Eccles was breathtakingly cynical and Flabs was a menace when he meddled in matters on the pitch.

I'd say what goes in Paladini's favour is

    - he was on the side of NW, and seemed to have a good relationship with the Mittals

    - he made introductions which in due course, may be seen as crucial to putting QPR up there again as a serious contender

    - he did get us Faurlin (however painful the process was).

Well said, Goldhawk. He seems to be hate figure so that's a brave opinion, one that I happen to agree with.

    WHAT !!!!!!!

Paladini has only ever had Paladini's interests at heart. He shamefully manoeuvred his way to being Chairman disposing of anyone in his way, such as Ollie and Bill Power, and then lined the pockets of his mates while living the life of Riley. He called in Briatore when he realised he was bleeding the club dry. His over bloated ego nearly cost us last season’s promotion, the man is a self serving parasite.

We can only speculate, Roller, on how the club would have fared under Power and Holloway. Holloway had been brilliant in bringing us up from the third division with few resources, but he was beginning to struggle in the Champ, and was looking at Leicester (which he eventually joined and make a pig's ear of things before redeeming himself with Blackpool).

As I say, I'm glad Paladini is going because of his suspect practices, but I still believe when we weigh up the pluses and minuses of what the man did for the club, the former may outweigh the latter.

Thought you were in favour of the Mittals, Northolt? The chain of causation that led them to take a shareholding started with Paladini.

Yes, he's done some good things, but we've all had our concerns about him for awhile eh, and if for nothing else he should lose his job, for the stress he caused me in the Spring.
