- The club have been devious ****s by making sure that 'Hull City Tigers' appears on the eticketing site. FFS, how many more times you dumb ****s? your application to change the name has now been turned down twice. Why continue to antagonise your fans (beg pardon- 'customers' as you prefer to think of them) by using this inflammatory and divisive name? Is it because you are stupid or just ****s? One or the other possibly both. - Sky/ Football League, why have you made it a 5pm kick off that inconveniences fans who are paying (extortionately) to attend? Did they not enter into your calculations? Did either of the clubs have a say in the time being moved? Return rail travel is virtually impossible because of the late finish/ early departure time of the last train? Which **** decided this and to programme rail network maintenance on the busy Bank Holiday weekend? Just like Arsenal Final 2 years ago, City fans back of the queue when various parties' needs are taken into consideration- is anyone speaking up for us, like the club or the FSF? Credit to Karl Turner and Diane Johnson in this respect - but where is Ehab Allam and Steve Brady? Too busy to use their voice? - Talking of Steve Brady, what are the Council doing to talk up the importance of this game and the city's best wishes for a successful outcome? Whatever happened to all the black and amber decorations from Bank Holiday Monday May 26 2008 when the big and important buildings in town had the civic crest in club colours? Where is the buzz? Has Assem Allam reduced the council to cowering mutes? Do they want us to do well? All parties need to up their game considerably, apathetic fans included.
Just one point, but the rail network is far, far quieter on a bank holiday weekend than a normal working day. When do you suggest they do maintenance?
I believe Sky discovered a few years ago that TV audiences are larger for a 5.00/5.30 kick-off than a 3.00 kick-off. See Saturday's FA Cup Final which kicks off at 5.30.
Lots of other clubs fans have been ****ed up by our crap railway system. The times of last trains from the capital city are a joke at any time of the year,
It's busy as **** on a Bank Holiday Weekend, next week included. When should they do it? Ask Network Rail.
Its nowhere near as busy as a normal working day. FACT. And if I did ask Network Rail they'd say "we've scheduled it for the least busy time of the year when there is sufficient daylight and weather conditions to carry out efficient improvement works". Why do you think they schedule it for such weekends - just to piss people off?
It's the quietest time of year on the rail network. Plenty of facts and figures out there to prove this. This argument started months ago and ended abruptly.
I neither know nor care . I'm a customer, not a Network Rail engineering maintenance scheduler. It doesn't suit me and thousands of other people, hence the article in the paper and MPs getting involved.
Much of the large scale work is done around public holidays because the railway is relatively quiet for a few days and the inevitable disruption affects fewer people - Network Rail. Virgin have announced a night train, leaving at almost half nine, so even if it goes to extra time people can still get to it. As for calling the ticketing site 'Hull City Tigers Wembley Tickets', it's moronic beyond belief.
It's gone on that long (and I've got that bored of it) it's grown on me. Hull City Tigers It's got a ring to it. I'll be voting in favour next time.
I've said all along I think his endgame is to have a club name with no geographical reference point in it.
Relax honestly....If we go up it should ensure the selling of the club. Let him have tigers at the end on a ticketing website. We should be supporting them to the hilt as promotion is our best chance of major change.
