Sorry crying was idea of moreno staying. Yeah I agree...tiEd Migs in so we could go searching for better but not risk him taking the hump and us left with nothing... He'll do fine as back up... My main issue with him is he's a coward...I'd rather he came and flapped than just stood there...
I've said this all along. I hate to have a go at one of our players, but he's nowhere near the required level. He has great energy and enthusiasm, and these are good qualities, but the lad seems completely brainless - in footballing terms at least. If he could learn some awareness then his good qualities would be an asset, but we've watched him for a while now and two managers have failed to create even the slightest improvement in his game intelligence or temper his impetuosity.
I watched the game last night and was very disappointed with the way we capitulated in the second half. I only realised Coutinho was on the pitch when he walked off at the end.
That third handball shout was a stonewall pen., no argument, no bullshit, it should have been given. It wasn't, never mind. You live and learn.
I didn't see the game last night (prior engagement with Brian Wilson) but it highlights for me that Klopp had no players on the bench that could shake things up. Origi maybe but he's just back from injury. Captain Hendo? Not for me.
THE Brian Wilson, writer/producer/performer of Pet Sounds, probably the second greatest album ever after Revolver? Or Brian Wilson the weasely New Labour ex MP?
Haha probably not that quick but it became apparent that we were losing the midfield battle. Big calls were needed.
Yeah. The crouch wasn't a natural position. I'd of given it. Ist one, is one of those that you want when attacking and you'd be furious if it's given against you. Ball has travelled a foot or so at best. Where do put your arm? Correct decision for me. 2nd one. No debate. completely accidental. Correct decision. 3rd one. Always a pen for me. Wrong decision. It's football. You get some decisions and you don't get others. I though Moreno got away with a stonewaller (shove him over with no attempt to play the ball) at 2-0 up against Villareal that would of put them ahead on away goals. We didn't lose because of the ref. We lost beacuse we couldn't come to terms with Sevilla's second half performance. They passed it better and quicker to beat the tiring press and we were awful in possession. Their win was fully deserved on that second half. Honourable mentions for Kolo and Clyne who were excellent. Moreno was awful defensively but he always is. Coutiniho was poor. If that was his audition for Barca, he failed it. Good, he can stay. It's been a fun ride and will hopefully be a learning experience. Klopp now has a big summer to shape the squad to try to kick on for top4 in a truncated season next year.
The 2nd one was given as a goal kick which was more annoying! The one where he is crouching down was def a pen for me. That's not a natural position to be in, had he been in a natural position the ball would have gone past him, under his hand.
Absolutely. Not whining about it, it is what it is (or not, as the case may be!), just think when Webb was analysing the decisions he sort of shuffied right past that one because he knew damn well it was a pen.
I wouldnt normally do this but the thread was disappearing into obscurity quite quickly for some reason... and I thought this was quite aptly funny:
Yeah, much like mancs have been chatting **** since fergie retired, the internet is full of examples from the appointment of Moyes "The Chosen One" to Januzaj being the new Ronaldo to the appointment of LVG "one of the best managers in europe" and De Pie being another new Ronaldo and how they think its yooniteds right to win big honours every season. But yeah knock yourself out that we got beat because I can assure you I'd be ripping your club to bits if your club had been good enough to reach the final and get beaten.
