Not at all, Kolo is a quality player but age catches up with everyone. You cant fight time but you never lose your knowledge.
The club can be as diligent as possible, but if a player decides to take something (like fat burners ) there is little the club can do. Treat it as BS until proven otherwise
Fighting on the terraces If English clubs get banned again then all that good feeling and sympathy from last week's Justice for the 96 documentary will rapidly evaporate. http://thefirms.co.uk/video-liverpool-sevilla-fans-clash-terraces/
Pretty much as spot on as it gets..other than I'd have scores lower across the board based on 2nd half... This team individually and collectively can't do 90 minutes. Literally half+ our supposed first 11 could go and I wouldn't cry....god help the other 20. Far far too many luxury players...
Right on most things Tobes.. On rebuilding....all of Klopps comments up to this show he expected it....like a lot of us ..it's a **** squad...the idea we would even have a chance at CL was laughable 6 months ago...even with him in We blew it but I can only assume his plan didn't include getting it this year. As for non Europe...he sent out a warning this dosey **** of a lot didn't listen to...no Europe?... I don't need a big squad....over half this squad won't make 2 transfer windows.... I'm angry but not surprised...we are where we are...won't change until we get a team of players that don't think they are better than they are and just do their jobs.
Pissed and doing a Tobes...getting sick of one **** that comes on here and only comments when we do badly....not a peep in first half when we played ok and one up but straight in like Freddie Mercury once we went ****...we all whinge but this **** makes a distinct habit of only making negative comments or coming in when we go bad.....he's a wum.....and can **** off.
Only thing I'd argue there is the Klopp tactics point, he tried to change things as it became apparent that certain players were in their dormant setting but the problem was one was Origi coming back right off a fairly bad injury and no game time, another was Mr Lump Benteke and another was Allen who is still what he is despite a supposed minor resurgence. He started with the team that supposedly has the most quality yet has been **** at stadiums in Europe and only performed at Anfield and it stayed true to what we've come to expect. What else could he do though given our squad and the options available to him, play the West Brom team ??! Moreno will be shot at dawn for desertion and conspiring with the enemy if there's any justice ... a few others should follow after an investigation
This. I think Studge scored a worldie out of nothing, but up till then the only team that had 'dominated' was them in the first 15. After the goal though they went to pieces. We had ten minutes to score another (or two) and should have done. We didn't. We should have come out for the second half with that in mind and cautious that the game was over. We came out smoking cigars and were putting the deck chairs out when they scored the equaliser. After that the best team dominated. Sad, but fact. Moreno was a complete disaster, but pairing his defensive duties with Coutinho just compounds things. And we're not Barca, and we don't have a Masch - we can't afford to concede the midfield by playing Can on his own to good teams. This was thumping waiting to happen. Worst of all - we needlessly conceded the league in the last month to get to this final (no need for that team against Swansea, for instance) and now we have no Europe at all. The manager risked all on this competition, and he's not above criticism for failing. I blame him more than that arsehole he keeps playing at left-back anyway.
We shouldn't lose sight of the fact that Sevilla are experienced in this competition and it showed throughout the match - we looked so nervous from the off. Tough experience for the lads but an important experience nonetheless.
And it's not ideal but no European football next season has its advantages as well. Next season can't come soon enough.
This is only the start lads. 2 finals in his first season with an inherited team is not bad. When Jürgen Klopp took over at Borussia Dortmund they finished 6th and 5th in the league and then won it twice in succession - the future is looking good. The same **** which played the second half in Basel also performed miracles against Dortmund and Villareal. All you need is a left back and a leader.
