Conceding so early in the 2nd half Don't want to turn this into a Moreno bash buttttttttttttt...........it's a weak ass half challenge that opened us up. I've been picking him out all ****ing season for his faults and tonight we've really paid the price. Ah well, Klopp knows he's a dud so................ Congrats to Sevilla, they really did play some lovely stuff in that half, the second goal was class. We lost our shape badly. But you learn from nights like this, we have been beaten in finals before and there will be others in the future. It will be an interesting summer for us in the transfer market, and we will be a stronger unit next season.
Moreno is ****e and Mr Morono or Mr Lobotomy Face as I prefer ... but we already knew this The wider issue is one prick's inadequacies shouldn't reopen the frailties across a whole ****ing team which is pretty much what happened ... that's what need addressing
Thought so. Let one out into the wild recently as a gesture. Sending the rest to Korea for mad stacks
Tonight does beg the question.... You're for captain? All seriousness, he looked great tonight and he showed some great pace at the back. His only downfall was taking a step to his right for their first, he opened up the space for the guy to play the ball between him and Mig. Now the question, does he get a new contract? I know on back of one performance he shouldn't, but he's been pretty solid last couple months and he brings leadership and organisation to that defence. With Skrtel hopefully going and Sakho bound to be banned, maybe another year isn't a bad thing?
I think it depends on other players. If only Skrtel goes, we have Lovren, Toure, Gomez and Matip. If Lovren goes too or Sakho gets a two year ban?
Well, we are painfully short of quality in that position. I suppose the pecking order is Moreno, Smith and Enrique. Says it all really. Maybe Klopp has tried to drill a positional sense into him, although it obviously hasn't worked. Who knows if they looked at alternatives in January, I'm sure money would have been available. Maybe the player wasn't. A new left back must be high on the agenda for us, maybe even two
That's up to the manager. He's put Lucas in as CB before because of the need to change so I'm sure he could come up with something. Even Skrtel isn't as big a liability as Moreno. I really hate to have a go at one of our players, but I just don't see the point of playing him. The occasional positive things he brings going forward are totally outweighed by the complete inadequacy of his defending. We could play with 10 men- at least the rest would know there was meant to be a ****ing big hole there and compensate.
He has been your best CH for most of the season not just one game. Yes his legs have gone but, like you say, his organisation and positional sense are very good (plus he actually gives everything he has until the tank is dry) and in my opinion that makes up a lot for his age.
Yep, what I am saying is he would struggle to do it again on Saturday if you had another game. He should be good for next season with only one game per week.
I would say it is highly unlikely, after the Sakho thing being so fresh the club would be very diligent with these things. That said, if it were true somebody would need to pay with his job for it.
