More Taxes through the back door for everyone with the Sugar tax that you can find in most foods and drinks.
Prisoners (not lifers) are to spend just weekends in prison and are free under tag (that can be doctored these days) to roam the streets.
    Money for driver-less cars
Just a sample of the priorities of this government and nothing about what can be done about the fastest growing business in Food banks and nursing home closures that are taking place all over the UK...
So well done our priorities are in safe hands .......not

    Touche´! <laugh>

Hate to say it but Dai has a point. This Government has taken its eye off the ball. A poor budget, lots of backtracking, now a poor Queen's speech. But what alternative do we have? With the undemocratic first past the post system it's either this lot or Labour and that would be an even bigger disaster imo. Thankfully I think Corbyn is unelectable, but the Tories are doing a piss poor job lately.

I give them credit on employment but that's about it.

And you want the government to have full control <laugh> The working class and poor would be sent further into poverty if we let them take away our protection and funding by the EU......As for credit for unemployment dont be fooled, There are so many schemes now that the unemployed have to do for an extra tenner with 99% no job at the end of it and thousands on zero contracts that unemployment is as high now as its always been......If we give any party full control we will be fcuked....

I get the feeling if we win this thing Phil it will be precisely because of the public's complete mistrust of the political class.

There is nobody more corrupt than our own governments. They all use their powers to feather their own nests. You cant even trust most of the back benches who use their position by accepting cash for questions and selling their name to be used on business note paper to companies in their area.....There are not that many true politicians who actually stand for the reasons they were voted in in the first place, The have to follow party lines sometimes the total opposite that the voters voted them in on....Peoples workers rights would be the first to go for those who actually manage to keep their jobs that is....and the thousands of jobs and hundreds of businesses run by the EU bosses would move their companies to main land Europe........There is so much to think about than just in or out.....

I never said that did i......I said that you want us to be run by our government without any input that has stood us in good stead making sure we have workers rights that all EU countries get. And you want all EU funding to stop which without we would have poor Broadband which the EU has funded across the UK. new motorways that were funded by the EU and the thousands of jobs that are being funded through the EU that turns into millions of jobs indirectly involved with these EU companies to keep them going. You dont want the EU free market that keeps prices low...(take a look at the prices with those not in the EU but have no choice but to use the EU for their trade and have to pay enormous amount of money just to go through the EU.) You want all this low tariff and billions in funding and human and workers rights to end and hand over all this to Boris and co and you think we will be better off........Maybe 40 odd years ago when we had plenty of industries to rely on but not now...today we wont survive as we are without our partners in the EU....

EU workers' rights laws that were proposed by the UK you mean? Those ones? Even if you're right on that any government that removed those rights after decades of protection would be out on its ear come the next election....that's democracy, see.

EU funding using our own money by way of rebate? That funding?

Human rights that have allowed terrorist sympathisers to avoid extradition for years costing the taxpayer millions of pounds? Those human rights?

In any event, it may have escaped your notice that the HRA is being replaced by our own Bill of Rights that means our soldiers are protected from outrageous claims as we've seen in the past. The European Court of Human Rights will still adjudicate (that should please you) but it's OUR Supreme Court that has the final say. Seems eminently sensible to me.

Facts, dear boy. You just can't beat 'em. <ok>

Dont talk daft Aussie....you do realize that for every quid we put in we make £10 in trade and when you look at all the funding we get for jobs, roads broadband and many other things then we would be mad to leave....Its all about power with Boris and IDS and god forbid if they were to get that then you will see what poverty is all about. Ask them how are they going to fund everything the EU does at present and they wont tell you as they have not a clue. We will still have to contribute nearly as much to the EU just like Norway and others have too, So where are they going to get the money from to continue the funding the EU gives us.......Dont let them skirt around the subject and try to blame everything on immigration because its a fact that immigration wont change it will get worse and their other favorite when they cant answer a simple question is " We want to take control of our boarders....OMG we cant take control without help now so how will we do it alone........

If your local MP canvases on something you approve of and you vote to have him/her to represent you and once there he does the opposite because of party policy then we as electorate should be able to vote a no confidence rule and de select them.......They all do it and i would love to stop them.......

Proportional representation is almost the very definition of Socialism yet unbelievably Labour campaigned against it (Alternative voting system). They lost all credibility after that one, shows what their politicians are really in it for. Without a credible centre-ground party it really is the tories or nothing for me. Problem with Europe is that we are potentially the biggest player yet have no real power. Germany controls manufacturing, French control Agriculture, what do we get?

I agree with you Monty apart from one thing. Democracy does not equal socialism. Labour are supporters of first past the post just like all big parties because it benefits them.

I didn't make the link between Socialism and Democracy. Labour's core objective is the redistribution of wealth and power, the irony of them voting against proportional representation, a system purposely proposed to redistribute power, just because a few of their big wigs would lose power is staggering.
