I agree with this. Personally I will always rate the FA Cup higher. There's a history that the second tier Europa just doesnt compare. But it's more than that, we've had 2 finals since we last time won it and lost both, it's been too long and I want to feel what the buzz of winning that cup final is like again. We have a history engrained in this trophy and we rightly should be the most successfull club in the competition (even if it is jointly for now) The Europa is good but why should Manchester United or their fans be excited by CL qualification. I just dont get it. It's what we ridicule Arsenal for when they finish top 4.

The Europa paint trophy has always carried the whiff of new money about it, something of the dark, smoke-filled committee room at the back of UEFA where the money men dreamed up something they could spin to squeeze more money out of the TV people. The Champions League and the European Cup before it was the gold standard for the cream of European football - all the great names from European Club football were there and had been competing for decades. With the Europa, half the time you have to Google the opposition to see who they are ..............................

Surely because it's better to be in that than the competition we are currently ridiculing ourselves. I'm not (personally), and nor have I ever, suggesting I'd take 4th ahead of winning the FA cup. What we should have done though is make a better fist of winning the EL as not only would it have meant we could have won the FA cup AND qualified for the CL, it would have meant Liverpool could not do the latter.
I guarantee if United win, Armchairprat will be one of those chavs who will keep the telly on to watch our players giving interviews on the pitch afterwards, while he snarls and feels bitter to fck inside. And he'll watch it all the way to Rooney lifting the trophy
I agree the CL is better than Europa but all we're talking about is qualification. I'm not knocking the Europa and perhaps it means more to Livpl fans bcos they've been in it from the start and the same would apply to us next season if we went as far. But if you take each trophy in its own, then the FA Cup means more as a prize imo.

Im sorry but the Europa cup pisses all over the FA imho Especially when you've beat the teams we have to get here Losing will be disappointing obv but even if so it has been a brilliant competition to be in and some great games
