I am with all of you, bang average player who is championship level at best. But he is out of contract and we all know that HJ cant resist something cheap.
Looks like to me that Huw hasn't learnt his lesson. We need quality this summer not crap championship players. Sign him and Fer and I'll be pissed right off. We need much better than that.
I'd go to 5 million , easy for me though .... It's not my money .. Apparently we are chasing Redmond and Townsend ... OH MAMA...
http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/qpr-set-make-8-million-11349489 No ****ing way, would I be happy with either paying a championship level player 42,000 per week and 6m for Fer. for me thanks but no thanks.
Not sure how much it will settle at but Guidolin will want to retain Fer . I'd pay 5 million easy for him but another loan isn't out of the question .
I have to say roof I think I agree with Valley on this, 2 -3 m is more than enough. How long is left on his contract.
I think one more season , thought it was more ... Loan him and buy him after might work . Fer is a big solution to some of our problems IMO . He doesn't get pushed around and he's super at set pieces . If we payed 5 million for Eder ( Lille wants Eder for 4.5 million.... SOLD if I have my way ) and never used him , we can pay the same for Fer , who played a good part to our revival. I just want Fer , whatever it takes without paying silly money
But 5m is far to much with only a year left on hi contract. I think it is far to much if he had longer left mind. I am happy to bring him in, I don't see him as the answer I would like better, but I see him as a good squad player.
Siggy , Cork and Ki with Fer and Britton for specialty situations. and I' m good . Ya , I didn't know he was coming into his last season so 5 million might be a bit steep for Fer . I want him though
They wont be enough, every other club will strengthen and unless we add another bit of quality to those listed we will be falling behind. We have to add and bring in some more quality, not just squad players, but better than we have already.
We should be looking to improve the quality of our squad and the three players mentioned won't really do that. We need to spend our money wisely on better quality players to strengthen the first team squad and give encouragement to our young players by using them as subs and back-up. By that I mean we shouldn't sign players just to make up numbers.
I think Siggy , Ki and Cork with Fer and Britton at the ready is very strong . Another winger , a right back and a CB is good for me . If Ayew leaves then another striker also
But we cant stand still and keeping jut them would be, we should be looking to improve what we have. If as a club we want to improve, we have to improve the squad, not just say what we have is good enough.
We improved the current squad after Monk left . We had a reasonable squad that was unused , but now we have a reasonable manager is how I see it . Once Britton and Routledge were finally used after Monk left , we did well . Fer , a winger , a right back and a CB Is lots for me , anything else is gravy
I'd be happy with these two, especially Townsend. Fer would be a decent squad player but Hoilett is ****e.
What I am is saying we did ok towards the end of the year with those players, every other team will strengthen or what they think is strengthening. If we don't sign better players then we will be behind those, We have to improve our starting 11 and I still believe we need another central midfield player, who is box to box and strong otherwise we will be behind all those clubs who have improved.
