brilliant player hard but could also really play with a spanking shot on him
dirty as **** obviously but every team had at least one.
i still remember seeing him on tele after he had been tackled both him and the opposing player were on the deck in the centre circle with the ball miles away so Souness just leaned over and punched him

 

Its a different time but like a player like kante now plays a run all day and make interceptions game as a CM. Souness was so fit for his day but it was a physical battle in there to basically assert dominance so we could have the right to then play.. Times are different but the impact is the same.


I'd love to have actually seen him not just vids... Same as dalglish. All i saw was tracksuit dalglish and the odd game... but then i could say that about so many players i suppose.

 

My first live game we had Keegan & Toshack up front and between them we scored 4
