I hope you are joking about your team MITO.... that is shocking

as for Nobles rant lol.... he's moaning about him being better than drinkwater? This is the noble whose team haven't even made it into a Europey league spot and whos Drinkwater who just won a prem leagues medal in part of a midfield 2. To be fair i don't think Drinkwater is all that but compared to Noble there isn't even a contest

I'd like to see Alli given a go in midfield, his temperament is a bit suspect but he is class.

Same. I'd only play one holding CM; I'd have gone with Noble but he's not there!

    Hart
    Clyne - Smalling - Cahill - Rose
    Alli - Drinkwater - Barkley
    Studge - Kane - Vardy

    #attackattackattack

    (Maybe Milner rather than Barkley)

can't disagree... well maybe barkely. he just looks unfit to me.

the back 5 is what i'd pick.

I deffo think englands strength is up front so might as well go 2 up then.

If you're picking Dier just to protect Stones then save a man and just play Dier instead of Stones

    @astrotednaut

I'm a fan of Stones, he just needs the right partner and like any defender the midfield in front of him is important. Dier is the right fit for England at the moment and will allow the talent to do their job.

There's enough attacking talent so the full backs are there to defend and help Smalling and Stones, it's a good defensive base that allows plenty going forward.

    Hart
    Clyne Smalling Cahill Rose
    Dier
    Drinkwater Alli
    sterling
    Vardy Kane

If its a wingless diamond formation... well... I simply cannot sanction picking stones. he needs to learn his trade and get a real manager to teach him it. Rose is vastly under rated. I am therefore in the cahill and rose camp even though chaill... meh...

Dier, well he did a job for spurs. Drinkwater did a job for leicester. there is a case for boht and just play on break.. thats why i went for alli and sterling as if we just go long we need that pace to join. vardy and kane... well they are the best two.

It is really.... well.. i don't see any legends being made out of this lot put it that way.

I'm a fan of Bertrand, he gets in easy for me. The Stones argument is valid but how many **** ups is Cahill allowed before he gets the boot? Let Stones learn by playing it'll help in the long run.
I wouldn't put Sterling in as simply when your back is to the wall and you need a goal he'll be the one in that position and will not score, he's a show pony with no end product and to drop Barkley is nuts imo as once again he nees to play now to get experience. The team I picked is quite young, let them play and learn, you've no chance of winning it with the old gaurd so why not let the younger lads have a crack at it, come the World Cup it'll set you up.

all ture and fair... but stones has been worse. i don't rate cahill at all but stones has to actually play half decent to get in and he's frankly been a turd for everton. If hodgson's negativity can help him defend half competently fine...

I know what you mean on sterling but for me if its rooney with not much pace and we play long to vardy we need that pace to get there.

Barkely..well i think he's not been bothered this year, is over weight, never looks up and is up his own hole and just don't think he's right.

I agree we've no chance but... well... If its about style of play and playing to vardy and kane who i would absolutely pick then we need to play it long after defending deep, and so need the pace to get up there.

Kane will score but hasn't the pace, he scores a lot off a few chances, vardy is the wasp with pace to play towards... drinkwater and dier could be the shield... but whos the mahrez... i agree its certainly not sterling but i thought pace was key.

    I'm only channeling hodgson.

    It's a long ball team

Just made to exploit vardy running.
