Chant of the night has to be ' he looks like my thumb, Richard Chaplow, he looks like my thumb' closely followed by you're getting sacked in the morning' and the fantastic reaction of Nigel Adkins to it. Great evening.
Brilliant evening all round. Great mix of fun/laughter and emotion/nostalgia. Well worth the £14! Kelvin's boy obviously plays, looked very tidy for a youngster!
Also, just seeing adkins and lambert back was very emotional. The feeling of singing those old chants after so long was pretty special. Glad Kelvin got a decent turnout, hope to see him as a coach next season.
That was a pretty good night. Seeing all the old faces, finally giving them our thanks and gratitude, and hearing all the old chants again ... Just amazing. As for Kelvin, thank you so much for everything.
Great night. I wish we had an audible PA system though. I couldn't hear ralphs waffle or Matty or kelv etc. other than that fantastic, great to see Adkins loved the punch chants, great atmosphere. How old is kelvs nipper?
It just wouldn't go in for Rickie during the match! No mistakes from the penalty spot though. There was a great moment in the second half where Jaidi was close to volleying in from a corner. What a great night.
Yes the poor quality tannoy system could have had serious implications, as the match delay was now thought to be because of hoax bomb threat, we inside would have never got the message through the announcement system!
I'll admit that I got a bit emotional seeing all the old guys and singing their songs. Seeing MLT and Franny was just an added bonus.
When I got to the ground at 7:20 the queue to get tickets was round from the ticket office to the ted bates statue, they delayed it to make sure everyone got in
Some great chants about Tony, and some good ones for Chaplow/Harding/Barnard who all took them well enough to clap their appreciation
What a night. We were right behind the goal, one metre to the side that the penalties were taken. I'll try and upload a video from my phone later. I know. Numpty.
