celtic are lightyears ahead of rangers, our B team just took 7 off the team who mauled rangers in the playoffs last year

rangers are utterly devoid of quality in attack, ok at pointless possession but have no cutting edge at all

we could pick 3 different teams from our squad that would destory rangers if they played to 80% of their potential

Sounds like Rangers won't have to be signing many players as what they have should be sufficient to challenge for the title, Aberdeen, Hearts and the rest will have to make do with being also rans.

    Can't see it.

    Compare & Contrast:

Celtic Played 38 Won 26, Drew 8, lost 4. Goals for 93, Goals against 31. Won the league by 15 points.

    Rangers: P 36. W25. D 6. L5. F88. A34 Won the league by 9 Points.

Celtic were considered to have had a bad season whilst Rangers were (according to the meeja) sweeping all before them. However the stats don't lie and as poor as Celtic appear to have been they still have better stats all across the board (against much better teams) than Rangers.

Does anyone think Rangers would have equaled or bettered Celtic's stats had they been in the SPFL?

There's absolutely no reason to think they would have.

And yet they didn't destroy Rangers or Malmo or etc etc etc.

Are you now going to say your team just didn't turn up?

They have been doing a lot of that lately :emoticon-0112-wonde

Rangers need to sign quite a few players. They seem to be trying to do just that. Don't know where you got that from. Seems a bit petulant tbh.

The stats never lie Dev. Your team were excellent all season and the masonic meeja are just bigging up Rangers.

But wait. If things were so rosey at Parkhead why was the place half empty for much of the season? Why was the manager and players taking pelters from their own fans including your good self i may add.

You know what don't bother answering those questions. You just keep on keeping on mate.

Vastly superior, destroy Rangers, you ****s are ****ing delusional <laugh>

Dev was backing the manager all season...even at his lowest point of being ahead by only 4 points

Maybe more than a guy who has watched his team struggle against part timers and thinks they're going to challenge us next season

I said little of what you alleged I said and as for answers to your questions they have been spelled out many times on this board. Read some old threads and you'll find the answers you seek for dwindling attendances and fan apathy.

Regarding "the Media", i think recent events have shown us they are in full succulent lamb mode. Everything is just wonderful at Ibrox, Parkhead is in a crisis, it's as if we've rolled the clocks back 20 years and I love it, let them keep doing it, it will make it all the sweeter when Celtic prove their superiority beyond any doubt.

Celtic were woeful in possession, yet still had more than 3 times the chances including an open goal miss. Lucky deflection for the first so that Miller had a sitter, then Boyata got taken off and from then on Rangers had barely a sniff until McKay scored a worldy that most keepers wouldn't get near. Yet, even after the scintillating tika-taka of Rangers took Celtic apart <rofl>, it still went to pens.
Aye, Celtic were awful compared to how they can play at their best, but that was Rangers at their best, regardless of having Waghorn or anyone else unavailable.

You're kidding yourself on if you think Rangers will challenge for the title next season. Top 6, probably, with Top 3 an outside shout.

Wait until it's the league matches rather than one-off cup games - that will be the real test for the Huns to see how far they've come. Ross County beat Celtic 3-1 in the League Cup Semi Final, in normal time, and no one was saying they'd challenge next season <laugh>

You cant disregard Waghorn though. Not after saying Rangers had no threat up front. He has scored 28 goals this season ffs. Do you think Celtic would be as much of a threat without the Thumb? Forrester, also a goal threat was a big miss too

I have said repeatedly that Rangers nead to strengthen. Up front especially. Celtic wasn't a one off game either. We played several premiership teams and were the better side in every game. Even when St Johnstone beat us Rangers outplayed them. Our naivety at the back done us that day. A good centre back would be another priority.

There is no vast gulf in class between Rangers and the top premiership clubs and i will confidently predict that they will be vying with Celtic for no1 spot next season.

For East Kilbride much like the Ibrox side , the game against Celtic was the biggest game of their careers. These plucky wee teams put up a fight.

When Sevco meet Aberdeen and Hearts 3 times never mind St Johnstone who outclassed them in the league cup the monotony of playing games against professionals will take its toll. They'll soon be reminded that most of their team are journeymen and neverhavebeens
