Following on from the ****test thread, who was the hardest? I'm torn on this one. Joe Bolton, John Kay, Sean Elliot, Ian Munro, (psychotic ****er), or maybe Bally?
Bardsley was a hard ****er as well. He knocked Rooney unconscious with a little more than a jab. He was brought up boxing.
Benno was hard as nails..Bally had the heart of a lion and Joe Bolton was a proper bruiser. I do recall we had a hard case centre forward who I think we signed from Hull, but I can't remember his name..
Alex Rae was a bit of a tough **** wasn't he? Lorik Cana was an absolute beast in midfield. Kone knocking the wind out of Yaya?
Cant believe i forgot about Alex Rae. Apparantly he was getting heckled off a load of Newcastle fans on a train once. As soon as it stopped he got off and offered to fight them all. Not one of the soft b@stards dared to get off!
He was playing when I started following the lads. Remember seeing him thinking, "Now there is a guy you don't want to get on the wrong end of.." Bunch of pussies the mags fans. Talk the talk, but chicken out when offered to walk the walk!
Alex Rae's the toughest player I can recall. If he was playing now the same way he did then he'd get six red cards every game. Not a bad footballer either actually.
Charley Hurley was made of concrete! Once had a t-shirt which said that, and more, so it must have been true!
