I think Humberside (yes, there is a geographical region even if you don't like the old administrative region) could be the next football powerhouse of England.

It's alright. I would've thought Conor was too good for Ferriby anyway.

As they've stepped up a level, it wouldn't surprise me if some of our released lads signed on at Ferriby this season.

It seems promotion is going to cost them a few quid, there are improvements required to meet Conference National rules, it seems they're mainly to do with access and they're meeting with ERYCC to try and get everything agreed.

They could get a lot of away fans
Maybe they should build a second tier over the club house for them?

The plans were in place 3 years ago to build a second tier above the clubhouse as a new directors lounge/restaurant allowing the expansion of the existing one

The problem expansion wise is that the railway is one side & the playing field the other...with the allotments one end & the 3G pitch at the other.....I was told that as they do not own any of that land (I believe all the surrounding lands are owned by the Church or Parish Council) that they would not be granted permission to use any of that surrounding land

I thought there had been discussions on the improvements needed in the event of promotion?

Presumably the league accepted the plans?

Or am I mixing up minimum requirements with general expansion?

    This is from 2013...

Adapting the Eon Visual Media Stadium for the next step up – to achieve a Grade A licence – would involve raising the capacity to 4,000, adding new turnstiles and adapting the main stand to four rows of seating instead of three, at an estimated cost of around £2m.

That though, would leave Ferriby ready for a push towards Football League status.

"Upgrading our current ground may cost around £2m, and we wouldn't get funding from grants," Hare explained.

"Moving to a new stadium might be better than trying to make adjustments to a ground with limited development opportunities, but it would have to suit all 20 teams we run.

"If we had a new stadium built on a 12-acre site, it might cost us between £6m and £8m but we would be able to apply for grants from the Football Foundation, local authority and European Community Fund. All options will be discussed."

<laugh> You're a touchy tart. Here we go again. Have a swipe and then try to make out you're a victim and it's others that are argumentative.

I reckon anyone that can get on here can use Google.

I think anyone interested would perhaps prefer any more recent updates if they're available from people closer to the club.

So if someone does know where things currently stand, I reckon a few would be interested.

Of course, how silly of me.

So, anyone know the current situation with Ferriby and ground improvements?

Well the turnstile updates were done when Ferriby were last promoted but I do not think they were needed/used....so they are there

There were also some seating improvements done in line with National League North requirements......

I suspect it all depends on if they club believe a future in the National League can be maintained as that would I'm sure ultimately require the new stadium....does the club plan for the future or not ? Does the club believe it can actually progress ?

Many of the clubs in the NL have decent away followings...probably enough to dwarf the Ferriby home following

I have spoken to the directors of the club in the past & with the correct funding/grants etc a new stadium would probably cost the club less than improvements to the existing ground .....time will tell

As an independent adjudicator I'd definitely say that you took the first swipe there Dutch, now cut it out, the ****ing pair of you, or its bed early tonight and you won't be allowed to go to the game.
