Supposedly the new owner has bought 51%, Mittal has 33%, Flav 5 and Bernie has 11%.

The worrying thing is he's another one of their F1 cronies and as said before it could all just be a smoke screen.

We will just have to wait and see.

TLR, there is still something seriously wrong. I'm relying on someone out there to see through the veil. Come on Brixton, Goldhawk, Ninj, Willy, I have faith in you boys, what is going on?

It's in thisislondon, seems very informed and sounds confident that's it's a done deal. It just doesn't sound right to me.

"Air Asia owner Tony Fernandes will become a majority shareholder at QPR after agreeing to buy a 51 per cent stake in the club.

Standard Sport can confirm that Fernandes, who is the team principal of Formula One's Team Lotus, has been in talks with the club over a possible takeover.

Rangers have attracted interest from two other unnamed parties since Bernie Ecclestone, who has a 62 per cent stake in the club, admitted in March that he would be willing to sell his share for £100m.

Initial negotiations seemed to ensure Fernandes' investment would only be enough to secure a role as chairman, with co-owners Flavio Briatore and Ecclestone still calling the shots.

However, Fernandes has agreed a deal to buy the majority of Ecclestone's shares to assume overall control.

It could mean a major power shift in the club with Ecclestone and Briatore owning just 16 per cent between them as Lakshmi Mittal still has a 33 per cent stake.

Standard Sport understands Fernandes is flying out to the club's pre-season training base in Italy tomorrow to meet with Warnock and discuss plans for the new season, including some more transfer targets.

Fernandes, who has already been shown around Loftus Road, failed in a bid to buy West Ham in January 2010.

Meanwhile, Rangers are set to finally secure the £1.25m signing of striker DJ Campbell from Blackpool.

Talks had stalled over personal terms for the 29-year-old, who scored 13 goals in the top flight last season, but now a deal is close to being agreed."

I am encouraged about Tony flying out to meet with Colin and talk about the new season and possible more transfers.

If they bought the remaining shares which would pit them to 49% surely they would have to invest.

we are QPR we are used to it now ... My guess is we will greet anything at the moment just because of the fear of failing ... such is football now ... its a business ... its 2011 and only money seems to talk.
Honestly how do think they got their money in the first place. Watch the four year plan again and you will see that these people get their kicks as humans doing business and making headlines ... we are all just puppets and addicts. 4-0 against Swansea Boxing day made my xmas, Miller's late goal and Adel's pass for the winner against Coventry i can still taste the feeling now.
Who ever comes in we will welcome then moan and worry about... my point is that we have a team spirit that may in fact been fed through all our ups and downs we mustn't lose that it can't be purchased so more people on this forum in my view should hold onto that... NW gets the best out of the players as he wants fighters and that feeds the team and it all comes from there ... chucking millions at it may happen but i hope not and we travel a different path that says said we have wealthy owners but we still play football with soul. I love the fact that Man City have shown that if you keep throwing money at it ... it doesn't always work
I like tight and raw its good business, its 2011 so what if we have to put up with a little ego massage for whatever owners we have in truth and real truth we as fans live on what goes on ... on the pitch and we have forgotten that. If we aren't careful we as fans will turn into the same mould as Arsenal and Chelsea supporters ... ask yourselves we all know some in our lives... for the ones i know they have all turned into moaners and we are on the same path. We need money to survive... we have it to survive ... we have the players that we can afford.. we play smart football now and we have passion and team spirit ... lets just look forward without fear UR's

    ===================================
Branson to Work as AirAsia Stewardess After Losing Bet
British billionaire Richard Branson will dress and serve as a stewardess on Malaysian budget carrier AirAsia X on May 1 after losing a Grand Prix bet with the founder of the airline.

Branson, whose Virgin group sponsors the Marussia Virgin Racing team, will finally honour his bet with AirAsia founder and Team Lotus co-principal Tony Fernandes on whose team would finish higher at the 2010 Bahrain Formula One GP.

"Five months after the colourful evening in Abu Dhabi, the day of reckoning for Sir Richard Branson has finally arrived," the airline said in a statement Wednesday.

"(He) will don AirAsia?s famous red female flight attendant uniform and strut down the aisle to offer coffee, tea or any other food or beverage to Tony Fernandes and 250 other guests on the special 13-hour KL-bound flight," it said.

AirAsia X is a long-haul affiliate of AirAsia and Branson's Virgin Group.

The airline said it was selling 160 tickets for the London to Kuala Lumpur charity flight, with passengers to also be entertained onboard by street magician Dynamo and a four-piece band featuring former Grand Prix team owner Eddie Jordan.

"We've come a full circle, Richard and I. Who would've thought my mentor will be serving as a flight attendant on AirAsia? I've got my razor ready, and I can't wait to shave his hairy legs," Fernandes said in a statement.

"Jokes aside, how we got to this charity flight is a testament that we can achieve anything if we are fuelled by passion, grit, determination and never take no for an answer," he added.

"Team Lotus, a Malaysian F1 team, supported by AirAsia, an ASEAN airline has beaten the odds on the race track and on the air, and there will be more to come."

Fernandes' Team Lotus debuted in the 2010 Formula One season and are part of the F1 this year but face a legal challenge over the use of the Lotus name.

AirAsia is Southeast Asia's largest budget carrier and along with AirAsia X, services about 150 routes covering destinations in Asia, Australia and Europe.
