He has a vote about songs and then produces ****ing pie charts with the results someone folk take this ****e far to seriously. http://www.thecelticnetwork.com/2011/07/29/report-and-results-from-the-two-tcn-polls/ He also felt the need to release a statement to clarify his position. He seems to think that he is part of some sort of internet fan power revolution.
Phil mcgiolla bhain cites these stats to back up his assertions about the rebel songs. "I realise it is not scientific"..... no **** sherlock.
I like the idea of a poll but how many people voted? About 60 by the sounds of it if everyone was allowed 10 votes each.
"the celtic family" I ****in hate this phrase! There are tons of Celtic fans I would not wish to associate with let alone be part of their family!
You'd think the twat would use differenht colours to show his pie charts...all segments a slightly different shade of green!
There's a bit too much of this solidarity **** for my liking. I like being a Celtic fan but other than a shared support of a club I have no more in common with most Celtic fans than I do with people who support Rangers or people who don't even like football. In many cases probably even less so.
I was just doing a searching around and found this. I own celtictalk and we have linked up with the Celtic network. The site is does come out a tad internet fan power revolution. But lots of new sites do that to get started. As for the polls I had nothing to do with them but the first one got over 500 votes and the second one over 1700. We have had bigger polls and their nothing special at all but in defense of the poll it's better to talk about issues rather than ignore them.
Thomas/Stereo/Rebel/Dev/Venom - I'm not surprised at some Ranger's fans' response to anything coming from a Celtic supporter. However, could it be the case that you've been too quick to judge the "....." who "started this new fan site" - particularly as 'Josh' has offered an explanation? Any chance you could give the lad a chance? (given the new tolerant society we're all supposed to live in nowadays - LOL!) By the way - I swear it's nothing to do with me!
I didn't judge it at all. I judged Phil. If he breaks a story and cites a source, I'll believe him 100%. he cannot afford to get that wrong. If he cites an opinion and backs it up with skewed poll results(and I don't blame the TCN lads for that), then he looks like a dick
****ing hell, there's some cynical folk here. They're pulling together all the Celtic Fan Media in one place. Don't get me wrong. the poll and statement is ill-advised, but more power to them for putting the effort in.
Exactly pal. I would hate to be bogged in to make out we are a "happy family" I've had words with some folks on the boat coming back from games and there is no way we are a family, some people are just pure ****s!
Thanks very much for the free publicity guy's . Outstanding. With the exception of Gaffney who is a very decent chap I was wondering where all the brain dead ROASTERS from the beeb had went and low and behold your all here spewing out the same old garbage. Gie us a shout when you work out how to balance on two legs without the use of your tails.
Welcome to not606 TCN and Josh. As you can tell from the name of the site, this is nothing like the crappy old BBC606. People tend to express strong views on a variety of subjects and they do so safe in the knowledge that their posts wont be removed because some twat of a mod deemed it to be "off topic" or because of some vague assertion that it's "offensive". If there's one thing I've learned since joining this site is not to take things too personally. Getting called this and that, and having your work severely critiqued is all part of the experience and it soon becomes water off a duck's back. We're all Celtic supporters and we all having differing views on the club, on the fans and the various websites set up in the club's honour. Best of luck to both of you and I hope your site is a success/continues to be a success.
