Try to keep club loyalty out of it and you might grasp reality. Scoring in meaningless friendlies where the opposition are just there for kicks is no measure. England turn up in friendlies, but the likes of Germany turn up in an actual tournaments. Don't take it personally fella, Vardy and Drinkwater (along with most of the players in that squad) WILL be out of their depth <ok>

In the past I have held those opinions on Milner but he does have his uses.

I just wouldn't start him but I think he deserves a place in the squad.

He has performed well for his club.

Although not scoring 30 yarders for England I cant remember him doing anything particularly bad.

I think it would be harsh to drop him as he has arguably had his best season for club.

.. club loyalty? .. what about facts ...Vardy holds the all time consecutive goals scoring record for the Premier League ...yet will be out of his depth at the Euros where there will be no African or South Americans? ...you are talking out of your arse ...this is the most potent England attack since the 90's ... provided Rooney is not given a starterole ...lets face it ..he has been out of his depth at every major tournament for the last 15 years...

Has to be Vardy and Kane starting together up front.

You tell Fosse to keep club loyalty out but your previous comment targeted Vardy and Drinkwater when you could have used many names. Bitter towards Leicester? Looking for bites? England are ****e, but you can only pick the best of what's available and our two, along with the Tottenham boys are the best available. The traditional big boys are failing to provide worthy players

...spot on .. Vardy has scored in 'meaningless friendlies ' against the Germans and Dutch ...but Wayne has scored most of his England goals against San Marino in 'competitive qualifiers' ...he has done fook all at major tournaments since his first one ...let's be honest ...

I didn't pick them because they play for Leicester lol. They just happen to be two who stand out in particular, I said they will all be out of their depth except the two or three I named. And the 3 players who I said would cut the mustard, two are tottenham and one Southampton. Don't see how I'm showing any club loyalty. I think you two need to stop taking it personally.

Well at least Leicester, Spurs and Southampton etc are providing players as Man U are providing nothing.

Anyway, I'm not bothered about England as a team, I'll be watching and backing Vardy and Drinky but that's it

Like I said fella, he's done well in a piss poor league but there aren't any world class defenders in the PL at the moment. Look at that midfield we're taking, it's god awful. Potent attack is useless unless you're expecting England to play long balls for Vardy but while that may work in the PL, I think route one football may be easy to defend by the best in Europe.

You had a great team ethic fella. Spurs showed as a team they didn't have ze mental strength or character to see it through... without Alli I might add. But individually Alli and Kane will be the future of England. Hopefully Bertrand too. Vardy and Drinkwater won't, and we'll see why in this tournament. I really don't understand why you're getting so bitter about it, just my impartial opinion as always on England.

...reality ... every defender at the Euros will be troubled by Vardy's pace ... in contrast, the only thing about Rooney that may trouble them is his breath ..:)

Your entitled to your opinions yes, you're right. Vardy is older so I can see why people might not see him as a long term solution. Drinkwater is still young and had a great upbringing at your own club and although he has come back the hard way, he's getting better and better and I think he is unfairly under estimated as he isn't a household name. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does if he makes the 23 as he could be the future along with Alli, Dier, Barkley. Time to move on from Wilshere, Henderson etx

...can see you are a fan Roofie ...but of we play Wayne as a striker we are fooked ... couldn't do it in his prime ... he might have a role behind the strikers in fairness...for me Vardy Kane combo is as good as anything we will meet... this isn't the World Cup...
