Rashford is young and will get valuable experience being in the squad, Carroll is past it and would not go to Russia if England qualify.

Carroll and Rooney would be a mean goal scoring machine IMO .
Carroll is far from being passed it and Rashford has nothing but time .
Carroll can bring something no one else can , if needed , hoofballamania

Rashford being in is a joke, he should play his time in the under 21's, talk of overhyping youngsters!

Delph is a mercenary who hasn't played barely and Wilshere is a crock. If Vardy and Drinwater survive the cut, I'll be supporting them two not England

... Woy has commented on England needing to have Leicester's belief ... makes me thinks Drinky may well be in his thoughts as well as Vards ...

Like just about every event , England's best man should have been the manager and never was . Recognizing good players isn't the same as recognizing and putting together a great team . I've always thought England was underwhelmied by the person sending the players out , rather than the players being sent .
A lot of pressure from the media doesn't help any English manager .

It's tournament rules to take 3 keepers <doh>

    <ok>

Silly rule tbf. I very much doubt 2 keepers will get injured ffs.

Not worth ruining any games by risking it, though.
Imagine some team losing a keeper early on, having their keeper sent off in the semi and having to field an out-field player in the final.
Highly unlikely, but it would be utter ****e, wouldn't it?

I've had a few discussions with my mates already but might as well share my opinions here which probably back what most are saying.

    - Noble deserves a shot in this team. Roy has tried everyone else. He is better and has performed better than Delph. Wake up Roy!

    - Rashford, although a good prospect, should not be in this squad. He's there as a gesture. We haven't got time for that. We need a genuine option and that was Carroll - our team lacks a 'plan b' and he offers that. 80 mins in and 1v1 or a goal down and things not working/stalemate - he'd be worth a shout, bullying those foreigners! We have a lot of similar players atm. If not him then Defoe or leftfield shout in Troy Deeney. All of those over Rashford.

    - Walcott. I don't mind the guy but his lack of club ambition has cost him his place in this team. Should have moved for first team football. Self inflicted.

    - Chamberlain. Good player and its a shame he hasn't done enough. Hopefully, unlike Walcott, he will move for first team football and prove his worth.

    - Henderson lucky to be in this team. Been injured or poor this season. Lack of alternative gives him a place.

    - Wilshire. Could go either way. Could be fresh for England or a total pussy and get injured and a waste of a place. Lets see.

    - Stones. Has been ****e all season. Lucky we are very short in CB's. No way deserved his place. Needs to be taken out of the heat to get his confidence back.

    - Barkley. Hopefully rediscovers his form for country and learns not to be so greedy. Could be a really useful player this summer.

    - Sterling. Also been largely ****e this year. Can't get a game. Could still be useful but I'd put Townsend in first.

    - On that note I'm pleased Townsend is in the team. Never had a bad game for England and is in form.

    - Rooney. Actually little pressure on him this time. We have others who can score now, he needs to produce an all-round performance. I just beg Roy not to play him up front on his own.

    - A little worried about the Spurs players. They were on cloud nine not long ago but have taken a massive whack. We need their guys to perform. Hopefully they can.

    - CB an obvious weak point.

I actually feel we have the players to have a good go and I hope Roy doesn't muck up the opportunity with bizarre selections.

Oi numpty Milner has the joint 4th amount of assists in the whole league this yeah with 11.

The only Englishman with more is Vardy.

    So much for "finished".

This Euros tournament will show just how **** the PL is. With the exception of Alli, Kane and possibly Bertrand the rest are simply not at the level to compete at the highest level. Players like Drinkwater and Vardy performing in a piss poor league are going to be out of their depth against the best in Europe. We really are kidding ourselves.

I'd put Rooney in the center circle ( like the 4 middle squares of a chess board ) and build a team around him . Kinda of guy you want to get to anywhere he wants to go ... Quickly.
For the life of me , I won't understand Carroll not being picked ... It's an error IMO.

I bet you he was one of the first names picked on that squad.

    A solid squad player.

... Vardy and Drinkwater have been taking the piss out of some of Europe's so called best all season ... and unless I've imagined it .. didn't Vardy just score in consecutive games against the Germans and Holland ...OK it'ts not San Marino like Wayne ... perhaps we'll get them in the knockout phase :)

not for me like ..ive watched him all his time as a footie player and just never thought he was ever international class .

hes to slow .. got no skill , no vision and he is banged out on the wing ...

.just my view that's all ...never rated him ever . hard worker but he Is in an attacking area .. I hope I'm wrong but all will be revealed

.. far better reason for our likely failure than the inclusion of players like Vatdy and Drinkwater.:)
