Started shaking, ****ting and spewing on Thursday evening. Then came the gut cramps, headaches and bouts of delirium. Hours spent on the bog, passing nothing but neon green water. Managed to eat half a biscuit this morning. Caffeine and nicotine withdrawals kicking in. Diabetes all over the place. Never known an illness like it. Doctor says it's the Norovirus. Any of you guys had it?

P.S) No quiz today, I'm afraid. But the sudden weight loss at least means I'll be able to wear some of my old Charlton shirts this summer.

    Cheers, buddy.

Apparently I must have caught it by getting some excrement in my mouth. But surely I would have built up a natural tolerance during my time as a chorister?

Trust me, M, I'm serious. I pray you never suffer from this virus, because it is ridiculously evil. Being diabetic doesn't help, as my inability to keep my meds down just led to increased vomiting and pooping.

While I do sympathise that you are ill at this time, I still don't believe you. You are that ill spewing and ****ting but you have managed to weigh yourself at the very start of the illness and also at this point of it? I do like you and miss your quizzes, but you can understand why I'm a little bit sceptical. I do however wish you a speedy recovery. Any updates on the "Likes" thread? I thank you in advance for your time<ok>

Let me explain a few matters, M.

I weigh myself every other day. I have to. I inject myself with a medicine called Liraglutide, and in order to obtain this particularly rare and expensive medicine I must supply my GP with constant updates as to my weight and blood-sugar levels. Thursday just happened to be one of those 'weigh-in' days.

Yesterday morning was the first time in days that I was able to think with any clarity and, what with the GP calling for an update, I made the decision to pull the scales out of the cupboard and weigh myself, hence the conclusion that I had lost 12lbs up to that point.

Another day of vomiting and pooping, albeit reduced in ferocity, accounted for the loss of a further 3lbs. The 15lbs in total is shockingly high, I agree, but totally realistic for someone of my delicate constitution.

The Likes thread will be updated at some point this week.

P.S) My grammar is probably a bit poor today, so do forgive me for any inconvenience caused.

Had Gastric Flu about 14 years ago.

Spewing and ****ting for three days.

One sip of water and throwing up again.

Had to get the doc round and had to get an injection in my bucket.

Took about two weeks to recover.

    Lost some amount of weight.
